Appointment of Non-executive Director
London, UK - 29 March 2021: Spirent Communications plc ("Spirent", the "Company" or the "Group") (LSE: SPT), the leading provider of test, assurance, and analytics solutions for next-generation devices and networks, today announces that Maggie Buggie will be appointed as an independent Non-executive Director with effect from 29 April 2021. Maggie will be a member of the Audit, Nomination and Remuneration Committees.
Maggie is the SVP and Chief Business Officer at SAP Services. She leads Sales, Strategy, Go-to-Market, Innovation Services, Ecosystem, Cloud Experience and Education for SAP Services. She has significant experience building fast-growth digital businesses, with previous positions with SAP, Capgemini and Fujitsu.
Commenting on the appointment, Sir Bill Thomas, Chairman of Spirent, said:
"We are delighted that Maggie will be joining the Spirent Board after our Annual General Meeting in April. We set out to enhance the Board's contribution to the Company by adding a new non-executive with a strong technical background, international experience in our industry and who had specific knowledge, understanding and experience of the Group's growth areas, with particular experience of hyperscalers. Maggie meets all of these criteria and will help the Board to continue to drive the future growth of the Company."
