The Rank Group Plc ("Rank") announces that Colin Child, its senior independent director, has resigned from the board with immediate effect.
Colin Child joined the board of Rank on 1 January 2012 and became senior independent director and chairman of the nominations committee on 1 July 2013. He became chairman of the audit committee on 17 October 2013.
Rank's chairman and chief executive, Ian Burke, is leading the search for a new senior independent director. A further announcement will be made when a successor has been identified.
Ian Burke said: "On behalf of the board of Rank I would like to thank Colin for his commitment and hard work during his time with Rank. The board is extremely sorry to see him go."
