Proton Power (AIM: PPS), the designer, developer and producer of fuel cells and fuel cell electric hybrid systems, announces that it has been notified that John Wall, the Company's Executive Chairman, has, on 15 July 2009, purchased 120,000 ordinary shares in the Company at 5 pence per share.

As a result of this transaction, John Wall has an interest in 520,000 ordinary shares in the Company representing 0.63% of the issued share capital of the Company.

In addition, as previously disclosed, John Wall holds options over 700,000 ordinary shares.
