Petrofac Limited15 January 2008 PETROFAC LIMITED PRODUCTION RECOMMENCES ON THISTLE ALPHA Petrofac, as duty holder of the Thistle Alpha installation on behalf of LundinBritain Limited (Lundin), a wholly owned subsidiary of Lundin Petroleum AB, canconfirm that following a fire on the platform on 25 November 2007 which resultedin a suspension of operations, production of hydrocarbons resumed on Saturday12th January 2008. Petrofac has been served with three notifications from the Health and SafetyExecutive (HSE) in relation to the incident. One notification, relating to theemergency response procedures on board the installation, has already beenclosed, the Company is working closely with the HSE and Lundin to remedy theremaining two notifications. The investigation into the incident is being undertaken jointly by Petrofac &Lundin in conjunction with the relevant authorities and specialists and isproceeding to plan.
