MHP S.A.Ukraine resumes export of poultry to the EU
MHP S.A. (LSE: MHPC) ("MHP" or "The Company"), one of the leading agro-industrial companies in Ukraine, focusing on the production of poultry and the cultivation of grain, announces that, according to a report released on January 30, 2017 by the press service of the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry of Ukraine, poultry exports from Ukraine to the countries of the EU have been resumed due to mutual recognition of the regionalization principle between Ukraine and the EU as it relates to avian influenza.
The Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Taras Kutovyi, commented: "Ukraine and European Union implement principles of regionalization when trading poultry and poultry products. A full export ban was transferred to a partial (three regions: Kherson, Odessa and Chernivtsi). As of now poultry supplies to the European market are already resumed".
MHP will now resume exports of poultry meat to the EU market in line with its 2017 plans and strategy.
