Lansdowne Oil & Gas plc18 September 2007 Date 18 September 2007 LANSDOWNE OIL & GAS plc Appointment of Non-Executive Director Lansdowne Oil & Gas plc ("Lansdowne " or "the Company") announces that it hasappointed Steven George Lampe (aged 48) to the Board of Lansdowne as aNon-Executive Director with immediate effect. Steven Lampe is an investment manager based in New York, USA. He has beenappointed a member of the Audit and Remuneration Committees. Steven Lampe is managing member of Lampe, Conway & Co LLC, a limited liabilitycompany organized in the state of Delaware. Lampe, Conway & Co LLC is theinvestment manager of LC Capital Master Fund Limited ("LC"), which holds5,225,000 ordinary shares in Lansdowne, representing 25.1 per cent. of theissued share capital and the voting rights of the Company. LC also holds an option to acquire up to 12,723,308 ordinary shares in Lansdownefrom Ramco Hibernia Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ramco Energy plc. Theoption can be exercised in whole or in part up to 26 June 2010 at an exerciseprice equivalent to the average of the closing price of a share in Lansdowne forthe 20 days prior to the date of exercise ("the Option") at any time within theexercise period. LC cannot exercise the Option in part over less than 3,000,000Lansdowne shares. Steven Lampe is beneficially interested in 196,078 ordinary shares in Lansdowne,representing 0.94 per cent. of the issued share capital and the voting rights ofthe Company. He is also non-beneficially interested, through LC, in 5,225,000ordinary shares in Lansdowne, representing 25.1 per cent. of the issued sharecapital and the voting rights of the Company. Mr Lampe has confirmed that there are no other matters to be disclosed inrelation to Schedule 2 (g) of the AIM Rules.
