Limitless, an AIM quoted investing company, is pleased to announce that it has made a cash investment of £500,000 in V-Nova International Ltd. ("V-Nova") as part of a larger funding round in V-Nova.

V-Nova was founded in 2011 and is part of a broad and growing consortium of over 20 global leaders including Broadcom, Encompass, Intel, Hitachi and Sky Italia. The consortium features two of the top ten global telecoms companies, three of the top ten largest media and broadcasting groups and six of the top twenty global technology groups. The current investment round, upon conversion, values V-Nova at £300 million.

Based in London, V-Nova is a leading provider of signal and data compression solutions, bridging the gap between the rapidly increasing consumption of “rich data” and the comparatively limited availability of network capacity. V-Nova’s patent-protected, software-based compression solution “PERSEUS” enables broadcasters and operators to upgrade their existing infrastructure to provide significant performance improvements and reduce bandwidth costs, as well as extend and add new services.

PERSEUS is currently used to provide 4K/UHD video over existing fixed-line HD and 4G/3G mobile infrastructure, HD video over 2G/3G/4G infrastructure and SD video at sub-audio bitrates. Application of PERSEUS will enable 4K/UHD television owners to finally receive 4K content over existing networks, watch sports, movies and other high-quality HD content on their mobile devices and provide access for people in emerging markets and rural areas to receive online video content for the first time.

As a result of its novel architecture, which lends itself to both real-time compression and encryption using standard encryption methodologies, PERSEUS’ applicability goes far beyond video and is valid to all industries where the transmission and processing of large volumes of data is paramount.

Since the launch of PERSEUS in April 2015, V-Nova has won multiple prestigious awards, including the Best-of-Show Awards at both National Association of Broadcasters (“NAB”) in Las Vegas, and the International Broadcasting Congress (“IBC”) in Amsterdam. PERSEUS was even used in the record-setting, historic first crossing of the English Channel by an all-electric aircraft, the Airbus “E-Fan”.
