PRE-EARNINGS GUIDANCE FOR 3Q 2017
(UNAUDITED OPERATING STATISTICS)
LG Electronics Inc. (the ''Company'') is pleased to announce certain unaudited operating statistics of the Company and its subsidiaries (the ''Group'') for the third quarter of 2017 as follows.
In the third quarter of 2017, the Group's consolidated sales amounted to KRW 15,227.9 billion (as compared to KRW 14,551.4 billion in 2017.2Q and KRW 13,224.2 billion in 2016.3Q), representing a quarter-on-quarter increase of 4.6% (QoQ 4.6%) and a year-on-year increase of 15.2% (YoY 15.2%).
The Group's consolidated operating income amounted to KRW 516.1 billion (as compared to KRW 664.1 billion in 2017.2Q and KRW 283.2 billion in 2016.3Q), representing a quarter-on-quarter decrease of 22.3% (QoQ -22.3%) and a year-on-year increase of 82.2% (YoY 82.2%).
