Intertek builds presence in growing UK cyber security and network assurance market with acquisition of NTA Monitor

Intertek Group plc ("the Group"), a Total Quality Assurance provider to a range of industries worldwide, is pleased to announce that it has acquired NTA Monitor (NTA), a leading network security and assurance services provider, based in the UK and Malaysia.
The cyber security market continues to grow rapidly owing to the growth in connected devices and cloud-based applications, as well as increasing regulation and compliance requirements. The acquisition of NTA will build Intertek's presence in the UK security assurance and certification space, one of the largest cyber security markets in the world, whilst strengthening and enlarging the Group's current footprint in the global network assurance and cyber security certification market.
Established in 1996, NTA is a founding member of CHECK and has a strong portfolio of accreditations including CREST, CHECK, PCI ASV and Cyber Essentials. It is a trusted information security partner supporting private and public sector organisations that are working towards certification and cyber security compliance. NTA specialises in the provision of penetration testing, compliance certifications, training and auditing solutions, helping organisations to minimise cyber security risks across their supply chains.
NTA employs 48 people across the UK and Malaysia and in 2017 generated revenues of c.£3.2 million.
