MANAGEMENT Changes

18 July 2012, Dublin/London: Independent News & Media PLC ("INM" and/or the "Company") advises that Mr. Donal Buggy will leave the Group on 5 October 2012 to pursue other interests.
On that date, Donal will be replaced as Group Chief Financial Officer by Mr. Eamonn O'Kennedy. Eamonn joined INM in 1999 as Group Finance Manager in the Group's Head Office. In 2007, he was appointed Finance Director of the Group's Irish operations and was appointed Finance Director of the Island of Ireland operations in 2011.
Vincent Crowley, Group Chief Executive, stated in relation to the changes: "I am grateful for the contribution Donal has made to INM over the course of many years. He leaves with our best wishes for the future. I welcome Eamonn into the role to which he brings a wealth of relevant experience."
