FURTHER RE DIRECTOR APPOINTMENT

27 October 2011, Dublin Independent News & Media PLC ("INM" and/ or the "Company") announced the appointment of Mr. James Osborne to the Board of Directors of the Company on 24 October, 2011.

The Company hereby makes the following additional disclosures in respect of Mr. Osborne in compliance with Rule 6.6.7 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules of the Irish Stock Exchange and Rule 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.

Save for his directorships, all of which are non-executive directorships, of Ryanair Holdings plc (current), James Hardie Industries S.E. (current) and Newcourt Group plc (receivership 2009), Mr. Osborne does not hold, and has not in the past five years held, a directorship in any publicly quoted companies.

The Company hereby confirms that Mr. Osborne has no further disclosures to make in accordance with Rule 6.6.7 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules of the Irish Stock Exchange and Rule 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
