FURTHER RE DIRECTOR APPOINTMENT

24 April, 2012, Dublin/ London Independent News & Media PLC ("INM" and/ or the "Company") announced the appointment of Mr. Vincent Crowley to the Board of Directors of the Company on 19 April, 2012.

The Company hereby makes the following additional disclosures in respect of Mr. Crowley in compliance with Rule 6.6.7 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules of the Irish Stock Exchange and Rule 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.

Save for his non-executive directorship on the Board of APN News & Media Limited (current), and his previous executive directorship on the Board of INM , Mr. Crowley does not hold, and has not in the past five years held, a directorship in any publicly quoted companies.

The Company hereby confirms that Mr. Crowley has no further disclosures to make in accordance with Rule 6.6.7 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules of the Irish Stock Exchange and Rule 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
