CASH AND COMMITMENT POSITION
AT 31 DECEMBER 2009

Graphite Enterprise Trust PLC ('Graphite Enterprise' or 'the Company') announces that at 31 December 2009, it had cash of £114.0 million and outstanding commitments of £243.2 million. At 30 September 2009, the Company had cash of £110.5 million and outstanding commitments of £270.1 million. The Company received realisation proceeds of £8.4 million in the final quarter of the year. Drawdowns and investments in the portfolio in the same period were only £4.0 million. The Company was released from £17.5 million of outstanding commitments in the quarter. These releases had no impact on the Company's net asset value per share. Graphite Enterprise expects to release its final results for the year ended 31 December 2009 towards the end of March 2010.
