Close period repurchase programme

Halfords Group plc ("Halfords" or the "Company") announces that the Company has entered into an irrevocable and non-discretionary arrangement with its broker, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, to repurchase on its behalf and within certain pre-set parameters, ordinary shares in Halfords for cancellation during the Company's close period commencing on 7th April 2011 and ending on the day prior to the announcement of the Company's results for the year to 1st April 2011. This arrangement is in accordance with Chapter 12 of the UKLA Listing Rules and Halfords' general authority to repurchase shares.
