Appointment of Zap-Map Chairman
Good Energy Group PLC, the 100% renewable electricity supplier and innovative energy services provider ("Good Energy" or "the Company"), today announces that Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Juliet Davenport, has been appointed Chairman of Next Green Car Ltd, the parent company of Zap-Map
The appointment follows the launch of Zap-Pay, a game changing electric Vehicle ("EV") charging payment service that launched on 7th September. The new service enables EV drivers to use a single app to pay for charging across different networks and will be rolled out across UK networks in 2021, providing unique and unrivalled coverage across the whole country.
Juliet Davenport is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Good Energy Group plc. She currently sits on the board of the Renewable Energy Association, Innovate UK and is Vice President of the Energy Institute. In addition, she sits on the advisory boards of leading UK think tanks, including Energy Systems Catapult, Aurora, Oxford Energy, and LSE's Grantham Institute.
Good Energy Group PLC exercised its right to increase its equity stake in Zap-Map's parent company, Next Green Car Ltd ("NGCL") to 50.1% in June. The Zap-Map Board now consists of 5 members, including the Co-founders of Zap-Map Melanie Shufflebotham and Ben Lane alongside Good Energy Group PLC Non-Executive Director Tim Jones and Head of Investor Relations and Company Secretarial, Charlie Parry.

· Launched in June 2014, with a mission to accelerate the shift to electric vehicles (EV), Zap-Map is the UK's leading mapping service. The charging point map, available on desktop and iOS/Android apps, helps EV drivers to locate available charge points, plan longer journeys and share updates for the benefit of the EV community.
· As of September 2020, Zap-Map features over 19,000 charge point devices in the UK at 12,000 locations. This is an estimated 98% of all public chargers, of which 70% receive live availability status updates every 5 minutes direct from the network.
· In the UK, Zap-Map attracts more than 120,000 users per month from a rapidly growing fleet of around 130,000 pure-EVs (Zap-Map's core user group) and 180,000 plug-in hybrids (SMMT: July 2020).
EV drivers access Zap-Map via a desktop map, using the iOS/android mobile app or via Google Assistant. As of September 2020, app downloads number more than 250,000.
