Further to our announcement of 15th April 2009, Filtronic plc is pleased to announce that SELEX Sensors and Airborne Systems Limited (operating on the markets as SELEX Galileo) has placed its first order with Filtronic under the long term Strategic Supply Agreement. This order initiates the development of Filtronic's volume capability for manufacturing SELEX's microwave modules for their current generation of Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) airborne radars and reflects SELEX's successful penetration of the global market for AESA radar products. It is anticipated that this will lead to the supply of initial production volumes later in our next financial year.
