Agreement with APC Technology

Filtronic plc (LSE: FTC), the designer and manufacturer of microwave electronics products for the wireless telecoms infrastructure market, announces it has entered into an agreement with APC Technology Group plc (LSE: APC) ("APC") whereby APC will act as the Company's exclusive UK distributor and sales representative for its Broadband business for non-telecommunication markets.

APC will promote Filtronic Broadband (www.filtronic.com) through its specialist RF and Microwave team, APC-Novacom (www.apc-novacom.co.uk), which is a renowned specialist in the Military, Defence, Commercial and Medical application markets.

Filtronic Broadband is an established world leading designer and manufacturer of microwave & millimetre-wave products for commercial telecom, security and defence applications as well as providing contract manufacturing at its state of the art, highly automated UK facility.

On announcing the agreement, Mike Weaver, APC-Novacom's General Manager, said: "We are delighted to be appointed as distributor and representative for Filtronic Broadband. The unique manufacturing capabilities offered by Filtronic will add significant value to our line card and allows us to offer a full manufacturing service to augment the range of RF and Microwave components that we currently promote. Filtronic's capabilities are therefore an ideal match for our clients who have a requirement for European based design, manufacture and test from DC up to mmWave frequencies."
