AGM Statement and Trading Update

Filtronic plc (AIM: FTC), the designer and manufacturer of microwave electronics products for the wireless telecoms infrastructure market and adjacent markets will make the following statement to shareholders at today's annual general meeting.

Trading during the first quarter of FY2018 was broadly in line with management's expectations for both Filtronic Wireless and Filtronic Broadband. We are pleased with our continued progress in developing new opportunities with existing customers and the further broadening of our customer base and end markets.

We were delighted to announce recently that Filtronic Broadband had entered into a second major supply agreement for the defence and aerospace market, and as our customer wins more contracts, we expect these to flow through to us. We have also secured a number of smaller pilot and development contracts that we expect to lead to production orders later in FY18.

Filtronic Wireless continues to build an exciting pipeline of opportunities for antenna products with mobile network operators and our established customer base of telecoms original equipment manufacturers. We are working to convert these opportunities and will update the market as we progress. We continue to receive a steady flow of orders for filter products from our telecoms and public safety market customers.
