ACQUISITION OF COWAN MANUFACTURING PTY LIMITED

 

James Fisher and Sons plc ("James Fisher" or "the Group") announces the acquisition of the entire share capital of Cowan Manufacturing PTY Limited ("Cowan") for consideration of A$2.6m (£1.5m) in cash.

 

Cowan, based in New South Wales, Australia, is recognised worldwide for its leading role in the design, manufacture, installation and in-service support of transportable recompression chamber systems and other life support equipment for the Australian navy and wider international defence market.

 

Nick Henry, Chief Executive Officer of James Fisher, said: "The acquisition of Cowan broadens the Group's offering to the Australian navy and further enhances our capability within the defence and commercial diving sectors. We are delighted to welcome the Cowan team to the Group."
