AGM Statement
At the EMIS Group AGM being held later today the Chairman will make the following statement:
"The Board of EMIS Group, the UK leader in connected healthcare software and services, is pleased to announce that trading for the year to date is in line with the Board's expectations. As reported at the time of the 2016 Final Results, announced on 16 March 2017, the Group has strong revenue visibility, growing market shares and solid order books and pipelines across every segment.
The Group has largely completed its previously announced structural reorganisation, bringing together Primary Care, CCMH and Secondary Care, the costs of which will be expensed in the first half of the year, benefitting the Group's results from the second half onwards.
As announced on 10 April 2017, Andy Thorburn will join the Group as Chief Executive Officer ("CEO") with effect from 1 May 2017, following the retirement of Chris Spencer, current CEO. The Board wishes Chris well in his retirement and looks forward to working with Andy to continue to deliver EMIS Group's vision of supporting longer and healthier lives for everyone by providing integrated, excellent and innovative healthcare software and services."
