Directorship changes

James Cropper PLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Phil Wild as Chief Executive Officer following the decision of Alun Lewis to step down from his role as Chief Executive Officer.

Mr Wild will take up his role in early October when it is also anticipated that he will be appointed to the Board of the Company. The disclosures required under the AIM Rules for Companies will be made at that time. Mark Cropper, Chairman of the Company, will act as interim Chief Executive Officer.

Mr Wild has a strong commercial and manufacturing background with over 20 years' experience in Industrial, Healthcare and Security markets. Most recently he was the Managing Director for 3M Security Printing and Systems Ltd, Business Director of 3M Cogent Systems GmbH and EMEA Business Director for 3M Security Systems Division. In these roles he has delivered accelerated growth in niche global markets through core business change as well as the successful integration of acquisitions. 

Mark Cropper, Chairman, paid tribute to the contribution which Alun has made to the business over the past 25 years. 'Alun was instrumental in the growth and success of our James Cropper Converting subsidiary and as CEO he has spearheaded our drive for continuous investment and improvement'.
