Cobham APPOINTS JAMIE PIKE aS non-executive DIRECTOR AND CHAIRMAN ELECT
Cobham plc announces the appointment of Jamie Pike as a Non-Executive Director and Chairman elect effective from 1 May 2019. Jamie will join the Board's Nomination and Audit Committees. It is intended that he becomes Chairman after a short handover period, and taking account of the proposed completion of the takeover of RPC Group, where he is currently Chairman. Mike Wareing has agreed to continue as Cobham Chairman until this time. Mike has led the Board through a period of significant change over the last two years and been a Director since December 2010.
Jamie has been a Non-Executive Director for five years and Chairman of Spirax-Sarco Engineering since May 2018, as well as being Chairman of RPC Group since 2008. He was formerly Chairman of Ibstock, Tyman and a US business, MBA Polymers. He has also been a Non-executive Director of RMC Group, Kelda Group and Lafarge Tarmac Holdings.
Jamie brings experience spanning a decade in defence markets, having been Chairman of the UK Defence Support Group until 2011, and a Non-executive Director of the UK Army Recruitment and Training Division.
During his executive career, Jamie was Chief Executive of Foseco until its acquisition by Cookson Group in 2008. He was previously Chief Executive of Burmah Castrol Chemicals, before leading a buy-out and subsequent IPO of Foseco. Prior to joining Burmah Castrol, he was Principal at AT Kearney and a Partner at Bain & Company.
Jamie has a degree in Engineering Science from Oxford, an MBA from INSEAD and is a Member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.

Cobham confirms there are no further disclosures to be made under rule 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.
