Cobham APPOINTS General (Ret) norton schwartz aS A non-executive DIRECTOR
Cobham plc announces the appointment of General (Ret) Norton Schwartz as a Non-executive Director, effective from 1 January 2018. He will also become a member of the Board's Remuneration and Risk Committees.
General Schwartz retired from military service in October 2012 after serving over 39 years in the US Air Force. He was the 19th Chief of Staff of the US Air Force from 2008 -2012 and a member of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff. He also held a number of other senior military positions including Commander US Transportation Command, Director for Operations and Director of the Joint Staff and Deputy Commander of US Special Operations Command.
He sits on the Board of Wesco Aircraft Holdings, Inc, and the USA Board of Directors of CAE Inc, both NYSE listed companies. He is currently the President and CEO of Business Executives for National Security (BENS) in the US, a position he has held since 2013. BENS applies best practice business solutions to improve the performance of government national security partners.
General Schwarz has a BSc from the US Air Force Academy and an MA in Business Administration from Central Michigan University.

This follows the appointment of John McAdam as Cobham's Senior Independent Director on 3 August 2017 and the recent announcement of René Médori as Audit Committee Chair Elect, due to join the Board on 1 January 2018."
Cobham confirms there are no further disclosures to be made under rule 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.
