Appointment of Chairman and update on trading
Centaur Media Plc (LES: CAU), the business to business information, insight and events group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Neil Johnson as Chairman and provide an update on business performance.
Appointment of Chairman
Neil has extensive experience in chairing boards for a range of businesses. He is currently chairman of Synthomer plc, Motabilty Operations Group, Electra Private Equity plc, and Senior Independent Director of Business Growth Fund.
He has a strong track record in overseeing the developments of operations and corporate transactions having overseen as chairman the successful organic and acquired growth strategies of Umeco, Cybit and most recently e2v Technologies.
Neil will assume the role with effect from 3rd January 2018. This follows the announcement on 25 July 2017 that Ron Sandler had informed the Board of his intention to step down as Chairman and from the Board.
Trading update
Despite challenging headwinds in some of our markets Centaur continues to perform in-line with expectations, with good progress being made both with regard to cash collection and debtors reduction.
Our transition away from print advertising has progressed satisfactorily and will represent less than 4% of total revenues going into 2018.
MarketMakers, the UK's leading B2B integrated marketing services business which was acquired earlier this year, is performing well and the company continues to consider other opportunities to expand the business further.
A year end trading update will be announced in January 2018.
