Appointment of Director and Directors' share dealings
CH Bailey plc ("the Company" or "the Group") is delighted to announce the appointment of Rod M. Reynolds as a Non-Executive Director of the Group.
Mr. Reynolds is a senior bank executive. He has lived and worked in various countries most recently in the UK as Chief Executive Officer of Scotiabank Europe Plc, a major corporate and investment bank serving Europe and MENA. Prior to that he was CEO and President of Roynat Capital, Canada's leading merchant bank for the mid-market with an investment portfolio across North America. Mr. Reynolds is a Civil Engineer and holds an MBA from York University's Schulich School of Business.Commenting on Mr. Reynolds' appointment, Charlie Bailey, Executive Chairman for the Group said:
"We are pleased to add Rod to the Board. He will bring a wealth of experience as well as considerable knowledge in working with growth orientated companies looking at emerging markets, especially in areas of strategy formulation, corporate governance and change management."
Mr. Reynolds currently serves on a number of boards in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors in Europe, North America and India.
The Company can also announce that the Mr C Bailey has today sold 100,000 Ordinary 10p shares to Mr Reynolds and 28,000 to Sir William McAlpine at a price of £1.77 per share. Mr Reynolds and Sir William are directors of the Group and have both expressed a wish to own shares in the Company to confirm their commitment and belief in the future of the Company.
Following this transaction Mr C Bailey beneficially owns 5,265,494 Ordinary shares representing 69.2% of the issued share capital of the Company. Mr Reynolds and Sir William McAlpine own 100,000 and 28,000 Ordinary shares respectively representing 1.3% and 0.4% of the issued share capital of Company.
