APPOINTMENT OF NEW EXTERNAL AUDITOR
Balfour Beatty, the international infrastructure group, announces that the Board has completed a competitive tender process for the appointment of external auditors, as announced in the 2014 Annual Report & Accounts.
KPMG will be appointed as external auditor for the year ending 31 December 2016, replacing Deloitte who have been the Company's auditor since 2002. Deloitte will audit the Group's accounts for the year ending 31 December 2015.
Shareholder approval to confirm the appointment of KPMG will be sought at the AGM on 19 May 2016.
Graham Roberts, Chairman of the Audit, Risk & Assurance Committee , said: "We thank Deloitte for their significant contribution as Balfour Beatty's auditor over the last 14 years and we look forward to working with KPMG in the future."
