Amerisur Resources PLC24 October 2007 24th October 2007 Amerisur Resources PLC Operations Update Amerisur Resources PLC, the oil and gas explorer and developer focused on SouthAmerica, is pleased to announce that Platanillo-2, the second new well to bedrilled in the Platanillo contract area, has been spudded with the drilling rigPride 17. The well will be drilled to a depth of approximately 8,600ft over aperiod of approximately 30 days. In addition, the well Alea-1 has been returned to production for Long TermTesting. Oil production will be delivered to the Santana terminal, operated byGran Tierra Energy Colombia for subsequent export. Further update announcements will be made as appropriate.
