PDMR Shareholding and Issue of Equity
Akers Biosciences, Inc. (NASDAQ: AKER) (AIM: AKR.L), (the "Company" or "Akers Bio"), a developer of rapid health information technologies, announces that, pursuant to the Company's 2017 Incentive Stock and Award Plan, 58,043 Restricted Shares have been issued to Doug Carrara, Vice President, Global Marketing and Commercial Operations of the Company, and 50,787 Restricted Shares have been issued to a former employee of the Company.
Application will be made for 108,830 shares of the Company's restricted common stock of no par value ("Restricted Shares") to be admitted to trading on AIM. Following Admission of the Restricted Shares, which is expected to take place on or around 27 October 2017, the Company's issued share capital will consist of 9,583,352 common shares with no common shares held in treasury. Therefore, the above figure of 9,583,352 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
