Appointment of Chief Executive Officer
Albemarle & Bond Holdings PLC, the specialist retail financial services provider, today announces the successful conclusion to the Board's formal search for a new Chief Executive Officer as referred to in its Trading Update & Board changes announcement issued on 19 April 2013.
The Board is delighted to announce that Chris Gillespie (age 50), most recently an executive director at Provident Financial plc, has accepted the position of Albemarle & Bond's new Chief Executive Officer. Chris has led a number of businesses in the broader financial services and lending area, including within HFC Bank and Bradford & Bingley before joining Provident Financial in 2007 as Managing Director, Consumer Credit Division. Chris started his career at Barclays plc in 1979 and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Certified Accountants.
Chris will join the Company on 7 October 2013 and he will be appointed to the Board on 18 October 2013. He will take full operational control of the Company on that date and Greville Nicholls will revert to his former role of Non-Executive Chairman.
