NATS (En Route) plc response to CMA Final Determination on Reference Period 3 Price Control (2020-2024)
NATS (En Route) plc (NERL), the regulated provider of air traffic services in the UK, welcomes the CMA's Final Determination (FD) on its Reference Period 3 price control, which sets its prices for the period 2020-2024.
Since this appeal was launched in November last year, the aviation industry has been significantly affected by COVID-19 by dramatically lower traffic volumes. This means that the CMA's FD has been largely overtaken by events. Nonetheless, we welcome it as a more clear and balanced settlement than the CAA's decision, which the CMA has reached as swiftly and efficiently as possible in unique circumstances.
NERL's focus continues to be ensuring that our response to COVID-19 meets the needs of the wider aviation industry.
