When you buy or sell a share it goes to the market maker/intermediary who then sells to the buyer hence the ask bid spread.

I think some of the analysts are too bearish to say the debt value is greater than the value of the property. However, I don’t really know what to believe. Best thing would be to see some real arms length transactions to get a feel of true value.

Is there somehow we can swap Hill and co for Burfords management, they seem far better at countering any short attack than anything I have previously seen.

I have a small position which i plan to sell out from shortly at a profit, I plan to buy TED shares instead. What a dog of company ASC is, fecking up the entire industry with their Amazon like business model. The government should introduce this tax and put them out of their misery, and give the high street a chance. I do not expect Q3 results to be good due to some of the news articles I am seeing, such as restructuring and forcing suppliers to pay a 3% cashback. These are all actions of a distressed play. Might buy back in after results though.

Some investors attribute upto 85% of a stock value to good corporate governance. Hold on a minute, is that not what the share price has more or less fallen by?

Alot of the big investors value good corporate governance and consider Vernon as a clown due to poor media portrayal (maybe because he is golf buddies with Trump). I suspect as this aspect of metro improves they will come back and buy into the new narrative. I also think they need to do a proper listed ADR on the NYSE, however can understand why they have not yet due to the prohibitively expensive reporting requirements (guessing £1-2m of additional costs involved to prepare SEC filings and obviously the risk factor when things go wrong).

I work for a multinational company in London. FX is never considered in any business decision or planning apart from being hedged when needed. Most investors are not FX speculators since it is impossible to predict and will assess the business on it’s underlying cashflows.

I don’t think shorters see it that way. They still see 7*p of value they can short. Think about it this way nothing has really changed in the business, but that RNS was a carrion call to the shorters. Maybe it was engineered to sell cheap to a related party.

Thunder, can you predict the fx rates this time next year or 3 years from now? When non-GBP investors look at this the FX rate is immaterial since they will consider this based on a constant FX rate.

After todays RNS I expect the shorts to start building here. If they don't build then I will buy some.

Exchange rate is immaterial since these are sterling books of business with sterling income.
