It takes each branch 18 months to get profitable and 5 years to be fully seasoned. That would explain why the service is amazing to start with and then goes downhill after 5 years.
If you are getting that level of service it means that business model is fecked and staff are underutilized. Management need to perform a proper restructuring exercise and get rid of the fat.
Odey thinks this is 2008 again. He has the big short on rewind watching it over again and again. One or two good bets and a tone of bad ones. He only wins when there is a black swan event which I don’t see happening when central banks can printy printy.
every thing which has happened to mtro has been self inflicted. no external forces apart from their own stupidity. - Loan book error - Lies about who found the error - Rights issue without details for over 3 months - Trying to issue MRELs before Q3 results
Not a single one of execs apart from hill have resigned.
Why the feck is Hill not buying the entire float, I want him to drain the shorters swamp and create a situation similar to what vw did to the slimy hedge funds.
The posters on twitter are mainly afro-carribean, and then you look at their tweets and realise they are complete imbeciles and unlikely to have much money or know anyone who would take them seriously.
IMO that telegraph article shows how bad and desperate the media is to find anything bad on MTRO. 30K, not sure hill will notice that after what has happened this year, but the media just want to portray him as greedy.
You cannot compare a global company versus a small time banking player like Metro. Someone like google/Apple can afford to have an army to oversee the red tape when trying to do business in places like india, Mtro can't afford to run their UK business (based on their current expense ratio) what makes you think they can suddenly expand into India of all places.
India is a socialist country. Would not want to own anything there, hard to get it out. My employer had some business there which was closed down in 2014 and we are still trying to repatriate funds.
