I agree you would think the assets would make it attractive for investment, but the losses could quickly make the value of those assets disappear over what appears will be an unusually quiet winter months, they cluld easily lose up to 2m a month over next few months which looking at the last 6 months results is completely feasible which would wip out any asset value in not time. January is generally the biggest month so could save them if its particularly good, but i think with current economic climate it may well come too early. Its unfortunate.

Yes they owned duraflex and went into admin only 3 months after closing that site. Its a shame but the industry is suffering a huge contraction right now and i dont think they will be the last.

If all this happens i will be a very happy man. The industry is not as optimistic. Another big player went pop earlier this week after seeking investment for a long time. September has been viewed in the industry as the worst month in a long time

Lol knowing the market is not about knowing who owns businesses, or what percentage market share they have in different geographies, given i know some of the people you are talking about personally though its a pretty funny question.

I have no skin in this game and i know people who work at safestyle personally at all levels so definitely dont want them to fail at all and i do not think that they will, for a variety of reasons. I just registered to let you know how they are regarded by people in the industry and why they will not be able to sell to trade as you questioned and that the windows and doors market will not rebound in the next few months. You can either listen or not. It matters not, to me.

Unfotunately dartron, your analysis of the company may be accurate but your onowledge of the marketplace for windows and doors is lacking. Safestyle are renowned in the industry for terrible quality so no one would buy off them for trade, their whole premise was built on being cheaper than everyone else, but as a plc their staffing costs have exploded and the market for windows is collapsing in the cost of living crisis and likely wont recover until the middle of next year. While i agree with you it seems unlikely they will completely collapse, its defibitely not looking good.
