I have to admit I was expecting a tad more interest in wsg today after yesterday’s late news on Bahrain. It does seem the market won’t acknowledge anything good from wsg until the contract is signed. Frustrating but I am reassured that any jan update will be pleasing, however if the contract has not been signed, I sense a muted reaction still. PF has to try and expedite signature if no more blockers, being stiff upper lipped, I know he will be happy to get in a queue and wait patiently.... after all this is a formality!, but not to the market. B

When compared to January 2019 where no contracts had been signed at all (until mid February in fact), this is a brilliant start in 2020. B

Looks like a number of T20s may have occurred today, some big sells followed by similar size large buys may indicate that those peeps are rolling the 20 day dice once more in hope that the contract jackpot will come about. B

Does today’s trading pattern suggest another big dump at end of day or is this just nibbling away at yesterday’s very large iceberg. B

MMs got them cheap then, need some volume now to rinse them through. B

Why today though?. So has been higher for 4 weeks, must have been hanging on for the contract that never was. Foxy said he sold some today.... maybe he meant several......million. B

I had the same thought Jimzi, but why would martyn bail when we are cusping, that’s a big tax bill he had to pay if they were knocking. B

Word forms: formalities. 1. countable noun. If you say that an action or procedure is just a formality, you mean that it is done only because it is normally done, and that it will not have any real effect on the situation. Some contracts are a mere formality.

Correction, I said the other day we will go up a bit and down a bit until contract award, this now reads ; down a bit and down a bit more until contract award. Apologies for the confusion and expectations not correctly managed. B

MMs taking sellers pants down today, 6% down on 200k volume... nice. Not been this low for a while, boredom setting in maybe? B

it does look like 12p is the new 9p for now and we will go up a bit and then down abit until the next news pops up. Hopefully within the next 3 weeks as the queue for contract signatures must have reduced since the new tariffs were agreed first week of Dec...…….formality can be so boring. B

Agree H&N, the Tech division on a good run since December and 2 contracts in the bag in the first 10 days of the New Year...… already..….Market doesn't seem to care though. B

MMS not moving today on good buying

I think PF would have been foolish to use that "formality" word unless he was 100% confident it was going to happen, my only concern is that his desire/push for a quick signature has now gone. He has exclusivity, getting paid.....job done. However, its not done because our Market Cap doesn't reflect Tema. Simply because the market doesn't trust Pete, which based on past performance [remember the £300M revenues potential RNS from the Ferry deal in 2014!], is justified. Iran is now dust....so we turn to KSA for the next biggy as Africa seems to have fell of the map. B

Thanks Mike, it would be nice if it had a calendar date just like the 6 monthly's do..... just more wriggle room for Pete I suppose.... if it isn't written down, he cannot be held accountable for it slipping in to Feb. B

strange that there is no date for YE results 4- 6 weeks after YE [ie end of Jan - mid Feb]…..B
