What are peoples positives for Vodafone, the share price has been a dog for years, its massively in debt, its return on capital is so low at first glance at least it seems it may as well just shut up shop and its phone deals are the most uncompetitive in the market. Whenever my phone contract is up for renewal I always check the deals from the main operators and Vodafone's offerings are always worst. Just wondering as i admit its low valuation and decent dividend has made me look at this. I've held it on and off over the years but generally lost money.
The individual planes in the sky may perhaps be profitable, but what about all those sat on the tarmac. The fact is that overall they are making massive losses, if they weren't there would be no reason for a rights issue.
These boards are full of rampers trying to get gullible folk to buy shares in the hope the share price increases and therefore reduces their losses. Anyone buying shares in this company, either on the open market or taking up your rights is taking a massive gamble. Sure, if a vaccine is announced tomorrow the shares could double, but equally COVID could drag on for months or years causing a serious long term reduction in IAG's business resulting in it being a shadow of its former self, please don't be foolish, if you invest anything in this, be prepared to lose significant amounts.
Hi. How is this company keeping going financially? I see many First trains and buses daily barely any of which have had anyone on them since mid March.
Hi,
Has Next Furloughed staff?
Thanks
Hi. I've read MNDI has one of the worst pension deficits in the FTSE 100. With a pathetic sounding 39% funding level equating to a £200 million deficit. As a new investor (wish i'd have read this before investing as i may have had second thoughts) does anyone know if there is a plan in place to address this?
I presume its due to talk of a Brexit deal. It'll fall back down when the talks collapse tomorrow lol.
Due to talk of a brexit deal perhaps? Don't worry it'll fall tomorrow when talk of a deal collapses.
No Idea. I don't think its debt is too bad.

Yes u only get 81% of the dividend. U can get 9% by instructing someone in spain to claim it back but will have to pay fees.
Anyone kno the reason for the strong rise of late?
Hi. Does anyone know where IAG is with its pension deficit? is this still a problem?
Changes in the value of the pound probably, and today its gone the other way lol.
I'm by no means an expert but the accounts look awful to me. I'll be watching the share price closely.
Any idea why this is being hammered so much? I thought the FOTB reduction was factored into the ladbrokes purchase and dont increased tax implications only apply to uk profits?
Seems a bit drastic. Surely tax would apply to uk punters only so wouldnt apply to anyone else?
Nope. Cant see it being caused by anytbing other than getting affected by tbe general market sell off.
