Good find, latpulldown. They're not going to fork out that much on a premiere without expectation of a big return.
“Imported coronavirus variants are unlikely to set lockdown easing back to “square one” because immunity from vaccines “won’t just disappear”, according to a key figure on the UK’s immunisation committee. Prof Adam Finn, a member of the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI), said he expected a “gradual erosion” of vaccine protection as the virus evolves but not enough to “scupper” the prime minister’s roadmap, as one leading scientist had predicted.“
Furthermore, “Boris Johnson's visit to India will still go ahead later this month despite the country's soaring coronavirus cases and a new variant there, No 10 says.”

Indeed, Latpulldown and Bonkers. In the announcement, Prof Jonathan Van Tam has said that the NHS believes that the AZ advice on U30s will not have any effect on the vaccination roll out at all (or any effect would be negligible) due to the supply of other vaccines coming in.
I think it was mentioned that this nil effect/negligible effect also takes into account any necessary admin changes required such that U30s get an alternative vaccine.
Important: PM does not think AZ advice will alter lockdown schedule
Now to the UK:
The review prompted the government's vaccine advisory group, the JCVI, to recommend that people aged 18 to 29 be offered an alternative vaccine where available.

EMA - "The benefits of the vaccine continue to outweigh the risks for people who receive it. The vaccine is effective at preventing Covid-19 and reducing hospitalisations and deaths," the agency said.
Looks like they're not advising to not give the Oxford/AZ vaccine, but to just amend the label.
... the European Medicines Agency, which has just concluded that "unusual blood clots with low blood platelets should be listed as very rare side effects" of the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine.

The move in June will allow Californians to return to restaurants, bars, movie theaters, houses of worship and concerts without strict capacity limits for the first time in well more than a year.
Slight downside: on Monday 4 April, Boris Johnson is expected to warn that June could be the earliest that borders can open - instead of the previously announced May 17.
On the bright side: so far, the US, Gulf states and Israel would be classed as "green" thanks to their jab rollouts.

Good news from across the pond: "Americans who are fully vaccinated can travel “at low risk to themselves,” both within the United States and *internationally*".

What I’m telling myself today: “you held through the 91s/92s just less than a week ago. You can hold through 99s/100s”.
Out of caution, LA is not going into orange tier (cinemas at 50% capacity) until next Monday 5 April.

Hopefully CA will drop to orange tier in time for US opening on Friday

Looks like Cineworld is stair casing their US re-openings, with most re-opening in May, but some key ones re-opening in April.

Another to add to the list of film release dates moved up:
The Hitman’s Bodyguard’s Wife (starring Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson), initially slated for August 27, 2020 and then shifted to August 20, 2021, will now open theatrically on June 16, 2021.

Would definitely be good for there to be an RNS on opening day. This is especially since, in China, Godzilla vs. Kong is already looking to do better than Godzilla: King of Monsters (2019) in terms of ticket sales.
Definitely shows there is still high demand for cinema screenings, if not more now.

Good to hear more release dates are being moved forward. Shows the production companies are having more faith in the reopening of cinemas.
Newest one moved forward is: Spiral - Book from saw (part of the Saw horror franchise, starring Chirs Rock and Samuel L Jackson) moved forward to 14 May.

“Everyone over 40 should be offered their first Covid-19 vaccine by Easter, with a “bumper boost” to supplies allowing the programme to rapidly expand next week, The Telegraph can reveal.
Stocks are expected to more than double, allowing the NHS to administer up to a million doses a day in coming weeks, government sources said. “
We already knew that the vaccination rate was going to double in mid-March, but for the over 40s to be offered a jab before Easter (April 4th) is quite astonishing!
