Si, that wedge changes angle every time I see it to fit the current trader narrative. There's always a pointy bit about one month ahead of the current date that is apparently going to determine the share's fate and hopefully get people buying to help the trader sell.

I suspect the lines would look very differently if finance had landed on time at any point during 2023. No doubt when finance does inevitably land you'll increase the angle of the triangle again to show another wedge with an arbitrary up or down moment.

I think you will discover the finance deal will dictate where the share price moves next. Either we get a deal and the share price will move up sharply (target ???) or the banks/UKEF will say no and company will eventually go bust (target 0). The lines you have drawn will be meaningless. Might be a good buying opportunity in the short term if people keep selling at these lows.

On contract value I would expect a one off barge to be worth more than a single Cory barge being mass produced as production costs reduce at scale.

But I agree it wouldn't move the share price, hence no RNS. But then again even a 60m contract hasn't moved the share price.

Learn to read maybe Speedy? It was Project Cargo Journal that posted it on their website today. God knows how long it has been on HARL's website, probably years. It's not unusual for a contracting company to highlight its successes or clients they have worked with. That's standard stuff.

People like yourself are the reason people of colour and women don't feel like they belong in the armed forces and why the military struggles to attract them. I don't necessarily agree that quotas are the best solution, I would rather they eliminate the bigotry and distasteful banter that you enjoy that causes people to be put off to begin with.

So you don't seriously believe that the military budget is dictated by GDP? The governments have been making cuts to the armed forces for many years. This has nothing to do with the "woke agenda" or providing welcoming environments for all.

2005 was two decades ago in the middle of two wars. Hardly comparable to the current state of affairs is it? Financial crisis, Brexit, Covid, energy crisis, stagnant economy forbthe past 15 years. No good living in 2005 as the economy is in a much worse state.

Honestly, with those attitudes it is no wonder why people are put off from joining the armed forces. Those attitudes may have worked 50 years ago, but these days people want a better working environment than that. Especially when doing something as important as serving the country. Just like Broomtree, you seem to be stuck in the past.

I think the main factor is that the country simply can't afford to spend big on defence any more because it's not generating enough GPD. We have the highest taxes on like 70 years and yet every public service is crumbling under a lack of investment, nor can we find the cash to improve the armed forces.

If the armed forces are struggling to recruit then that suggests there is an issue with the compensation on offer, as people don't feel it is worth doing that kind of work for what is being offered. Again this comes down to the government not having enough money. Same reason our doctors and nurses are underpaid.

Since taxing people even more isn't a vote winner (unless you're the SNP) then the priority should be on cutting down on wasteful government spending, getting big corporations to pay their bloody taxes and getting benefit claimants back into work so that we have higher GDP.

The risk basically comes down to:

Debt finance is still to be signed off.

Company is still not profitable.

The second one is a reduced risk once the first is resolved as the debt package will see us through to profitability in 2025.

Once those are resolved the share price will only go one way. Those with an appetite for risk will buy at this cheap level. We've been hovering around 12p for months now, it's not going much lower. Those who got spiked at 14p last week will keep it above 12p and the JR will provide another boost in February to keep it ticking around 12-14p until the finance deal arrives. So people either buy at this level or they wait for the risk to reduce and pay double. For some that will be ok as there will still be plenty of value here at 24p when finance is sorted and the company is profitable. In five years Dog may even get his £1 party.

No one seriously believes you are invested here. You spend all day every day posting negatively on what you consider a "speculative" position amongst two and a half dozen stocks. Your posting frequency increases after positive news.

It could also be that you actually aren't shorting HARL. Perhaps you got so rattled by the news on the 29th that you closed your short at a loss and are even more unhappy that the share price has fallen below the level you closed it at. Shorts on IG dropped from 17% to 15% on the day and are back at 17% now. Short low, buy high I guess?

I don't think the lenders need extra comfort with a 100% UKEF guarantee. It totally derisks the loan for the lenders.

My assumption is that if the company went bust then all assets are sold and the money goes to the lenders to pay back the debt, and any shortfall is covered by the UKEF guarantee. This allows for the best possible loan terms as the lenders can't lose.

Who knows how IM will be funded. I would prefer a JV with an experienced partner and keep a 30% stake. It's too much for us to take on the whole project.

Debt is not a negative thing if managed well and the interest rate is good. Companies need financing to grow. We are dealing in contracts in the 10s to 100s of millions here, not the thousands. So we need a big finance package to go with it.

I think there are a lot of people following this company who are wanting to invest but are concerned about the finance risks that keep getting highlighted. Hopefully when finance is completed people are more willing to jump in, but shorters will always find new risks to suit their agenda.

Broomtree is working hard to try win the 🤡 of the year award for 2024. He's become just another bitter former investor just like Hebridean9, Spud etc. I don't believe for one second that he holds any shares. The finance RNS the other day clearly rattled him. I would be nervous too if I was shorting this.
