I think Scilly has just become a distraction at this point. With the IOSSG contract now signed with Piriou the only option left is for HARL to play the long game. Continue with the fast ferry plan and see who pulls out first. I can see price and speed of the journey winning out in most cases. Time to let them get on with it. I'm more interested in finance and where the 50m of work is coming from for the 2024 guidance to hit 200m.

It makes sense. Why would the government give the cash when it's no longer needed? The plan with the fast ferries appears to be to make IOSSC's plan financially uneconomical and put them out of business so that we become the company with the monopoly and thus can apply for the LUF. Bit unethical, but that is clearly the plan.

It is interesting that IOSSC still haven't signed the contract. I see that as a sign that they are aware that it is no longer economical and are trying to figure out what to do.

And there lies the problem. Each person will draw charts differently to suit the narrative they want to send. Either by cherry picking specific highs and lows or using a time period that best fits their trade. I guarantee once this wedge expires in February you'll have another one a week later.

It could also be the same day. Either way I'd expect a small spike around the appeal hearing (happened in May last year) followed by a chart showing a downward wedge and a new blog post from the short crew with a new date when cash is apparently running out.

Of course they meet early Feb, you need to line them up with the JR appeal where big news is expected. Don't need a chart to tell me a big move is expected then.

15p and I may take a punt. But it's risky with results coming up in March.

It sounds like the yards in Belfast are going to be very busy over the next 6 months or so.

Very interesting comment about the dry dock there.

Even if we are literally doing nothing but housing the ship for a few months that's still a decent amount of revenue as it will be taking up space that could be booked for other work.

I think the lack of an RNS is down to the reasons others have given - last minute change of plan and still figuring out the work.

Happy to wait and see how this plays out whilst we await the finance news.

Probably the only time I will agree with you Spud.

12p is the value assigned for the current level of fear around the finance deal.

If that were to happen, it would be crazy that critical infrastructure could be help up for four years by a couple of people lodging a protest. No wonder the west is falling way behind the likes of China.

I can't see an appeal being granted by the supreme court as they tend to focus on high profile cases that have merit, but the protestors will absolutely try because every tactic they are using is intended to delay rather than win.

I think if this cruise ship was here for major work with a lot of revenue for us then we would have had an RNS. Would be nice to know what's happening though.

The ask was reduced from 13p to 12.5p. The bid didn't move, and as you know the share price is the middle of those. The MMs probably reduced the ask because no one wanted to pay 13p.

B, if you're making a trade then knowing when to cut your losses is important. Selling a declining share and buying back cheaper is a valid strategy even if it means selling for a loss. I just didn't buy back cheaper when the opportunity came (15p) as I had put the money elsewhere. Still confident I will get back in here at my 17p exit price or lower at some point this year. Probably after March results. Assuming I have free cash at the time too.

Said months ago this isn't going anywhere fast and I am being proven right. Same price as it was in August, taking investors for a ride since then.

Anyway mainly here to make this point as Broomtree keeps coming to a different board to have a go at me for selling. No regrets so far.
