fwiw D I am reliable informed that electric car batteries are just a stop gap for hydrogen fuel cell tech. (don't know if that would reduce the demand for Ilika?

BMN might be worth a look? (Its SA which always is a bit of a red flag for me because of widely reported corruption), but seems to have stabilised at a pretty low SP and may have turned a corner ?

I would just remark, if its so obvious why do posters regularly post that "this week, next week, whenever" DE5 or 6 who cares, who cares how long it takes" etc is perfectly fine?

I agree, Jay, but to me its a further example that time is not this elastic thing many here seem so relaxed about.. Time is money. Things change over time. Nothing stays the same and in the investment world that should never be forgotten when trying to plan long term

I think the mark down is more likely in front of the budget statement later on. My view its a more market blanket thing. rather than AVCT specific. It might be tax breaks/investment incentives are or will be eroded for tech type companies?

There are always 2 options: I make plans for either one in advance so I can act quickly if either comes to pass.

Its been (imv), a surprise fall over the last day or so and this morning. However it is within a range so I am not overly concerned, and its regarded as "noise". However if it does fall to 107p then that might be an opportunity. I have no idea if it will fall to that figure but if it does I have a plan in place.

Jar, over the last few months the main range is 95p-137p within that there is 107p-132p more recent range.

I am a bit more committed to this now that I wanted to be and am as frustrated as any that it still yo-yo's so much (I was hoping a floor of around 119p would hold for instance).

It looks as though 107p now may be a target? certainly if it did fall intra day to that level I would be very tempted to reallocate more funds but as I say I am reluctant to commit more...I'l have to figure that out pretty quickly,

The thing is, its much harder (for me to sell) as I expect a run up to the end of the year but obviously won't know when it will likely start. I think the bigger moves will be in a few weeks but it could easily drift up to the mid 120's before hand.

I agree DGU, it reads she was more focussed on the "team" than her actual responsibilities.

(I remember posting a good while ago that she seemed more concerned with staff days off/good times/bring your dog in/ have friday drink etc etc and said that I hoped she was putting enough thought into actually running the business.

All you can do is take lessons from this and be aware if you think history is repeating itself.

I think all it is that we are in a trading range and wont break out until there is news. "late 2022" (by AVCT standards could be Jan 2023 ha ha), but assuming there is no slippage then I agree its mid dec onwards which is a month away and there is a pattern then when news is put back, some sell and play elsewhere.

The next run up should start in earnest in a couple of weeks I would have thought. (imo, dyor etcetc)

My mindset, it would seem, is different to many hear but its not based on that I am a "Trader". (we are all traders, just on different timescales.)

The big difference is that I am not emotionally connected to AVCT the company. (or indeed the SP) Thats what gives me a different outlook (to many I think.)

A buyer (desperate or not) will only get the price the seller agrees to. If good news comes out then the value of the stock (from the sellers perspective) increases so he has no desire to sell it to a low(er) bid from the buyer. The seller will then force the price up to a level that he (and the buyer) can agree on.

How many times do I have to say that I don't match the SP to the company. I have found it to be a profitable strategy to divorce these 2 seemingly related factors.

Its when I think the disconnect is glaringly obvious that I commit funds. Apart from PL no one cares but I sold some more stock to allow a purchase in here at 117.55 as I think right now this is a shake out priorto good news coming.

I would not be almost continually buying now unless I thought it was going to succeed. But I will not be blinded in to presuming I am right and the market is wrong.

ok Rah, its all fud thats undermining investors but this long into the trial you think its what I post here is the reason it fell today (even though I had not posted prior to the fall, other than to highlight Hursts ramping, that if you believe posts here DO affect the SP then why isnt above 143p as he stated yesterday it would be?)

Again logically you can't have it both ways. either posts here do affect the SP in which case as the vast majority are ramps or logical dot joining to a "cure for cancer" then the SP should already be 500p plus or they dont'.

If therefore posts here don't affect the SP, then what could it be?

My best guess (as I think it is working) is that either it does not work as well as we were led to believe (not my first choice), or the market does not care right now and will do nothing until it sees the strength of the results (Which is what I do think)

RAH, I agree with you...however the SP does not agree with us. We don't Know for sure, logic says its working. The trial is for safety not efficacy. (That was the whole reason of my "dumb question" a few weeks ago.

I could not see how results from the safety could be divorced from the efficacy. i was very firmly told that I had no idea of even what AVCT are/were trying to do.

I guess you can't have it both ways.

Certainly the "excuse" of the funding has been dealt with, so my conclusion is the market wants to see it an RNS and until then is not particularly interested.

(Plus given Hurst's never ending ramping and the decline in the SP proves once and for all nothing posted here affects the SP :0))

RAH, I didn't say it was bad news, I simply said that it might be a cause of the SP retrace.

The SP and the company are not the same thing. The logic is that the 1b will not start until 1a is complete. So a delay now is likely to delay the final part of the trial.

What Ceo's say and what comes to pass are not always the same thing.

Anyway, Like I said I will see when and where it closes tonight. I still currently think on balance its a shake out.
