(i sold out and then about 2 days later took a small position back in on the "what if there is actually good news..." this year.. (This share will be the death of me!) , but added as soon as the RNS came out. (For me it will be difficult to trade because of the spread so will probably stick to the obvious ups and downs that are coming.)

Waiting to get into Harl (its always tempting to overpay when it carries on going up.....)

yes Deano, thats true, trading at a loss does get tiresome very quickly.

Deano, that's the joy of trading. You don't care about the company just the psychology of the SP.

you buy at 7p & sell at 8.5p.

It will either fall back or carry on going up but in either event you made over 20%

The next trade might be a buy-in at 8p or maybe 9p, but thats a new trade now and nothing to do with the previous one. So I concentrate on the trade in hand and not on what happened in the last trade and the whole load of "what ifs" in between. :0)

Hi Legal, maybe... who knows, but the SP has gone up over 30% in less than a week and 20% since it was 7p in 2 days.

My experience suggests that the sticky hands are already loaded up which means that the speculators have moved the SP up and will likely move it down ... Anyway it's all good fun and what will be will be in any event.

at the risk of stating the very obvious: If a share goes up a lot quickly then it is human nature to then cash in on that "quick" profit, which then sends the SP down a fair bit before new buyers come in seeing a potential profit now between what it was and expectation it will shoot back up and more.

In other words, expect a bit of volatility!

seems to have support now at the 980p-1000p mark. roll on 1200p (however it gets there!)

looks like we have reached the resistance at 8p, should be fun to see who wins.

ITV, Who knows what will happen but my expectation of an SP reaction at the presentation will be positive but we have all been here before. So my best expectation is that the new news will be positively received but given there will still be "promises" rather than actual dates, it will be relatively muted with a small SP rise as people start to position themselves for potential better news flow in a relatively short time frame. (imo dyor etc etc)

well, a breakout yesterday suggests that 8p-8.1p is coming in short order.

If it does my best guess is that it will spike around 8.5p and then retrace to what will be a new support at 8p(ish) GLA

DGU, I was thinking about this yesterday evening and although it might look a bit like a lost cause to get lost money back right now, perhaps if you focus not on the money you (iopefully) make but on the % gain of each stock.

As a benchmark I think if I left it in a savings account what could I get? 4% now? so, as long as I do better than 4% I am winning (in my mind).

Sometimes it helps to change the focus and again (fwiw and feel free to ignore all of this), try not to be too impatient. Self imposed pressure to get to what is probably an unrealistic target too quickly, may lead to poor decision making.

don't know if this helps DGU but sometimes if I see a stock i think has lots of growth but also a good chance of retracing I put in half at the current price then if it does fall back put the other half in. If it does move away and never does get to my 2nd, lower target then at least I have a stake in the company and have not missed out too much.

I take risks when i think the odds are in my favour but am ready to cut or liquidate my holdings very quickly if it turns out I am wrong.

People here talk about hope, positivity, negativity and I simply don't recognise those feelings as being remotely helpful in making investment decisions.

I don't know if you have ever lost an amount of money on a stock that makes you feel sick to the pit of your stomach, but I have back in the day, and you can take it from me, you do not want to repeat that or put yourself in that situation, ever.

Remember all I said today was, there was no specific reason as to why it was us. The report said in the next decade. I would hope AVCT will be moving a bit quicker than that.

Still, if you all have only put what you can comfortably afford to lose then great, but I would bet all my shares here its not just Blackcat that are chewing their nails.

At this rate we will all end up with the same portfolio's!

Well done watching " We don't know its us as all," was what i said this morning that kicked off yet another pointless ****storm of abuse only for you to agree with my sentiment.

Baffy, why can't the MM's let the SP be subject to normal market conditions? Why do you think they have to or indeed want to, constantly manipulate it down in front of a never ending apparently, stream of buys?

Why do you think they never manipulate the SP up?
