It might be a technical thing but oversold and overbought are common terms in charts and TA. Currently the fall form the recent high (which was in overbought territory), was always on the cards and the SP now fits pretty much midway between overbought and oversold. So, from a TA pov its sits comfortably in a range without any particular guidance as to whether it will fall a bit further or now start to move up again.

I have (fwiw) bought in 19.25 today given the recent stability around the current level.

I struggle to see why anyone would want to sell now at this level, (in enough volume to affect the SP) So if its not going down then it can only go.........

Ken, Why do you have it? its only use is for day trading however, given that not all trades are reported in real time then its not always accurate.

I have never found it to be helpful consistently enough to be able to profit from it. There are some who swear by it so I guess its down to the individual.

partly its due to fear and greed again. The price starts to rise so some people who watch the stock "assume" either somebody knows something and/or there is a leak and they want to get in quickly (FOMO) before the news breaks officially. (Greed to make money even though you don'y know why its rising)

Also the old adage "the trend is your friend" helps some think they are simply by getting in early, going with a trend and are quite happy to jump off again just as quickly.

And again emotionally it "feels" psychology better topping up than averaging down. (why is it falling? am I throwing
good money after bad? what do I know that the market, which is selling the stock, doesn't?

Whereas when its rising it confirms how smart you were to either buy it lower down, or the fact you thought it would rise, and now it is. etc etc so you feel more confident in buying as it rises.

The trouble is PJT, there is no "proof" its bent. If its buys and sells that are the main driver of such an assumption then it needs to be known how accurate are the buys and sells that are displayed?

Then it would need to be known how much AVCT stock the MM's actually hold on their books (at any given time) and what price they paid. and what their motivations for amounts held at the end of the day are etc etc.

I would point out, on this BB, its rarely (and I can't remember a single instance), where a decent rise in the SP has been "down" to MM's playing games.

So it seems to be an emotional reaction to a falling SP that generates the "rigged" MM's aspect surfacing here.

The "wild west" of AIM (imo) is more about the lack of regulation for the actual companies on AIM rather than the actual MM's.

And if we want to be AVCT specific, I think we are all aware of missed timelines and slow sales that in hindsight were contrary to AS statements produced previously giving ultimately an incorrect position of the company to investors. That imo, is where the risk is to investing in AIM companies lies, not particularly or specifically the MM's

rich, , I think you just have to accept that on AIM, there are many small companies that by nature of being on AIM are higher than average risk and therefore have the potential to move quite a lot during any one day. That in turn attracts short term gamblers.

(for example HARL moved 10% this morning has dropped back a little but 10% for in an hour is fine for many here on AIM.)

So money is routinely moved around quite quickly and frequently to try and secure some and sometimes small, profit just as BF pointed out in his explanation.

Once there is actual news out, then the SP will re-rate on that factual data, in the meantime AVCT lends itself (with its volatility) as a prime candidate for this type of activity.

Purple, a lot of short termers use leveredge. if you are patient you often have the opportunity to keep the spread down to 1-1,5% and given it moves in 1p increments thats 1 % (more or less) at a time and it moved 15p in one day. How much do you want to earn per day?

The "fear" of being out is much more typically a PI thing than a Traders thing.

Its the mindset of fear and greed. If you can break that or overcome it, then it allows the decision-making process easier to implement.

well its pretty much on the recent support. lets see if buyers come in now.

there is anew trading range now of 110-120p. Most likely some buyers are waiting to see if it will be tested before committing.

However some, who want to have a stake might not want to wait and will get in as soon as they think the price is moving up again so as not to miss out, so you get this FOMO type buying/selling pressure.

Anyway, a break above 120p will be more significant imo for future (quick) gains

There is no deramping: I simply pointed out that the £11 per share valuation that RAH provided was baseless due to lack of knowing the profit margin and the amount of sales when those sales will be happen.

Not a single one of those points have been addressed.

In my original email I suggested the profits could even be higher than the £11 per share "valuation".

But as usual the red mist comes down and you all go a bit off the edge.....

my interpretation of the chart says, more likely than not, around 8p at worse, but who knows...

It depends on how much he wants to raise and what for?

If its just a small drill program then may be another £5m maybe £10?

So currently the company is valued at £50m so £10m would be 20%, would be a dilution of 1.6p? (perfect world and all that)

IF,i f they get a discovery first then who cares, shares shoot up, easy raise and that would probably propel the shares up rather than down...Oh for a crystal ball.....

ABDX looks to be in a lot of trouble to me. no signs of orders and dwindling cash.... its not the best backdrop. (My view is coloured by not giving too much weight to CEO's saying "Lots of talks going on with new customers and big orders").

A Takeover would obviously be great but that always seems a longshot when a company is already failing. (we are back to the "do you bid now or wait for potential administration" discussion.

I really like the look of HARL and got in and out for about 6% gain because I thought the odds of a fall back were there.

I think with all my other holdings I will trim back either WOSG or GLEN, to make room for amore substantial chunk of HARL but I do like the divi from GLEN..... decisions decisions.....

Well, clearly its not to discuss the SP .

What seems to be missed here is that with the best will in the world no one here knows whats is going on and to what level.

We can all read the RNS's and interpret them how we want. Look at the differing views on biopsi data. Look at the discussions on safety/tolerability.

Every view has somebody saying the opposite based on what they believe is most likely and what the latest RNS for eg, "REALLY" means

We had discussions on what Pfizer do on trial data, then were they blinded trials, or were there patients in the hundreds rather than the handful or so in the DE's? How did that take us any further forward as to when the trial data will be released?

If you are going to use data and results and hard facts to determine when to buy a stock like this then you would wait until that info was in the public domain.

But we don't, we take a risk that we think it will most likely be ok and buy in front of this data.

Why you all get on your high horses about "understanding" what is taking place is amusing to say the least.

I don't mind in the slightest these conversations taking place but lets not kid ourselves that they help determine the results, of which all all of us have done for the last 18 months, is speculate about.

RAH, and what exactly have all your posts achieved then other than saying IF it works this will fantastic for society and the SP?

All the posters here who have some knowledge of the chemistry involved have not moved the understanding one iota.

If it works, fantastic, if it does not, disaster... or.... it could be somewhere in between. Great.... at last I have been educated.

Patience, I think its from next week the SP will start to move up.

There are plenty of fast movers on Aim every day, and although many here ***** about AIM, nevertheless it attracts all sorts, and long termers are probably in the minority (for all the reason the ones that do ***** about AIM here, do.)

The SP has been static for a while now but if something is going to happen it should be soon, so the speculators should start to get on board hence my thinking that we will start to see some movement from next week onwards.

Hi D, yes, tricky to value the HE1's of this world but it would seem 50p-100p would be reasonable but there is funding coming so the timing will be critical to the SP reaction.

AVCT, If the news is good then I will let this one ride, (I might top slice but it depends on how "good" the news is.)
Its difficult not to get carried away withy some of the valuations bandied about and as a result I would not want to let this to slip through my fingers for the sake of a mecannical system.

Having said all that, it will retrace and do all the normal things SP's do so it will still be tradeable but it will need to settle down first for me to make any sort of judgement on when to dip in and out.

Morning D, You still in HE1?

(i sold out and then about 2 days later took a small position back in on the "what if there is actually good news..." this year.. (This share will be the death of me!) , but added as soon as the RNS came out. (For me it will be difficult to trade because of the spread so will probably stick to the obvious ups and downs that are coming.)

Waiting to get into Harl (its always tempting to overpay when it carries on going up.....)
