So there has been a "bonkers" over-reaction but you will wait for a further 10% plus, fall before adding?

It does not sound as though you do think there has been an over reaction if the current price does not induce you to buy.

Just taken a small bite today as it has retraced to the low when it fell from 84p down to 53p.

It could fall to lower, more recent supports hence my small purchase.

so from a chart pov it will be interesting to see if it moves up or down from here as to gauge what's most likely next.

Very True Diversified, so its clearly not going to be a money issue but it seemed to have taken a long time to get this one in place that fell through when it did, and I am sure that all parties involved were aware that an MoU is still woolly which I read was still the earliest and best deal that HE1 could secure.

The implication (to me) is that it will be several months before anything is put in place. You would want/expect a booking to come much earlier, but the way the RNS read to me as though it was a bolt out of the blue, which again makes me think it will take several weeks before anything will be revealed.

But its just a guess although I would have expected DM to be more positive if there was something in the wings that he could more imminently update the market with.

I have sold out this morning on that basis. plenty of time now to get back in as and when, so I will get my money working elsewhere. (I was surprised actually how well it held up yesetday.)

Well, so far I am having a good day a bit down on a couple but up more on the bigger holding’s. I mention this as my financial welfare seems to be of some concern here.

Holding only what the risk suggests.

At no stage have I suggested what the results of the trial will be, just not to ASSUME that you already know the outcome.

Just so newbie’s are aware you have been wrong every single time you have posted this rampy stuff.
So many of you get overly excised by my cautious approach yet go overboard when you hear what you want to hear even though it’s based on absolutely nothing.

No, but any one who has played this game for a while gets used to “Certainties” suddenly being less certain very quickly.
The name of this game is to preserve capital at all costs.
If you lose it then you are out and you don’t have the resources to get it back.
All CEO’s are economic with the truth, markets are manipulated, where money is involved nothing should be taken at face value.
It’s not a matter of being careful, there is too much info the pl will never have to be able to regularly “win”.
So be cautious, look at worse case scenarios, ask yourself difficult questions, invent potential different outcomes, then decide how much money to gamble with.

You might be right DTW but it’s that “certainty” you post that can lead to catastrophic financial loss.
As devil’s advocate, what if it’s safe but releases vey little Dox in the tumour? What if increased doses had no (or little) effect on the amount of Dox released in the tumour?
According to your “end of” conclusion that is not possible therefore you have managed to deduce the result with a100 % certainty that the majority of investors from investment firms to specialist analysts to other pharmaceutical companies are waiting to see actual results as their experience shows it’s never done until it’s done.
You may be critical of this post but yours is potentially, far more dangerous.
All I do is offer alternative explanations for a second thought just so we can take a breath and double check our research and make sure we are not over committing funds.
Remember our research is no better (and likely to be far worse) than paid specialists in this field.

Who was it that said we had an exquisite test, missed timelines for TT, eventually got home use approval and then pulled the test 2 weeks later?
All I am saying is crap happens, so just be careful.

RAH, do you want to look at Glen over the last 8 months? Or my recent purchase of HE1 at 5.5? Or shall we just pick trades on certain stocks at certain times and extrapolate from there. ( I assume we have stopped talking about me selling most of Avct down from 260p and buying in at an average of 68p when it fell earlier this year?

Bashing? What does that mean?
There was a time that the most vociferous of my critics here were just as angry with me when I questioned the profitability of our lft. (My view was based on the constant delays of getting it to market.)
As it turned out it just so happened that I was right. I could have been wrong but hey ho, it was the right call.
So here we are again with all this tirade of ridicule simply because I voice ideas that might be tying into what the market also thinks. Doesn’t mean I will be right but given my experience against my detractors, you would think we could at least talk it through?
But no, this bb is so wrapped up in its pious, one eyed, myopic view of the future that it seems incapable of discussing any other outcome.
You laugh at my investment in Harl. Yet fail to see the similarity of both its bb and the company’s RNS’s to this one and the surprising update.
Still that’s the nature of the game so as long as you don’t over commit not too much will go wrong.

Oh really, don’t take on so. I simply stated the obvious that it takes a long time for new therapies to come to market. Many here have said it would be better if a bigger company could accelerate the process for the sake of humanity. I am conscious that a novel way of combating cancer may appear in a few years that replaces the way we target it currently.
And by all means ridicule away my trades but I don’t see any here that maybe bought 1.50p plus being the investment guru that puts everything I do to shame?
Ther was a post that said Abdx was a pump/spike. So what? If you managed to be on the right side you made 30percent in a few hours. The way many of you carry on here you would think that was a bad thing.
Many here simply are not interested trying to make money.

No joe, but as we learn almost daily, there are many new ways of dealing with this. Avct is making 50 year old tech more efficient. Making the combustion engine better while someone else is making an electric motor.
So I don’t know how long the Avct approach will last.
So to me it helps explain maybe why the sp is a bit subdued. (We still have to wait for p2 to start let alone finish and be successful.)
So that’s why I thlnk diagnostics could be the long term future for us.
I am just hoping that the therapy business gets bought out much sooner than later.

This is where it gets tricky.What if this latest Flu bug is particularly deadly? Worse than Covid was? Can the government ignore it? The rod is firmly in place now. You shut down the economy for Covid but ignore worse infections?
I don’t think mass testing will be brought back but we are back to holiday, health, critical jobs etc maybe?
I have a feeling that Avct long term has neither the time or money for therapy but diagnostic tests may be the solution? (Covid being just one example of a great long list of potential necessary tests)

This is very good news I think. LD generated a significant amount of revenue in the Covid market and this income was largely discounted when Avct bought them. If there is to be a resurgence in testing then we should get an unexpected windfall irrespective of Avct having their own test?

Ripley,as usual you deliberately misquote me. I did not recommend Harl. What I highlighted was the same evangelical opinions are on that bb as here. And yes their update came out of the blue following on from only a few months ago where things could not have been better. That is the lesson. What I do has no bearing on anyone here so why you keep evoking my name is pretty pointless and yet you never stop doing it. Anyway next few weeks will at last put to rest one way or another whether Avct will be the greatest investment of all time.

Just read ripley’s post. The company is attempting fantastic things. The SP is saying something else. I apologise for spelling this out but obviously not everyone gets it . Time will tell as it always does.

Thanks rich, a bluebird day today as it turns out. I accept that it’s a quiet day but why is it down instead of up? Why isn’t there a 3 or 4 percent increase rather than a fall? But it’s not just today. This has been going on for a little while now.. all I am saying is the market sees this diametrically opposite to us. One answer is we know more than the market but I don’t think that holds over a period of time. We shall see but my unemotional side says so-so results but better than expected news on the diagnostic front. But I am like most here, I will wait to see how this works out.
