RE: £50mn increase in value for a transformational RNS?27 Jan 2023 08:06
Doc, You and a few others need to calm down
When the Jan 17th rns was released the SP opened at 150p having closed the night before at 138p, 12p rise not even a 10% mark up.
It closed last night, 9 days later, at 148p.
Why was that?
As always (although you seem to think, I think I know everything), I don't know.
However those are the facts and rather than trying to fit a universe that revolves around the earth I try to see if there is another simpler possible explanation.
I know many here just look at AVCt and the work they are doing and don't care about the SP. Thats fine but I don't know why they bought in in the first place if the potential gain is not important.
So to the ones where an increasing SP which should be driven by good news who might be wondering why the lack of a more robust revaluation has not happened then I have offered my thoughts as to why the market has reacted the way it has.
Ultimately there was no news in January, except to say its working. but we all knew that (incl the market), didn't we? We wanted to know how well it was working, and it seems it is at least matching what the AVCT team expected but there was no qualified detail to say what that was.
So, the market knew it was already working but not how well, and now the only difference is the first part of the trial is being extended further.
Its actually anti-climatic. 6 biopsis with dox in them, fantastic, but until we all know how much dox ,what does that mean for how well it works?
Science day now is what the market iswaiting for. Waiting to get some real data as to how well this is performing. Thats my opinion on why its been a lack lustre SP performance
