On its own it's ok but if you can pull it off a few times you can be looking at 20-30% extra stock to your holding, which for me is worth the risk. (and I find the risk pretty low actually).

Its not toppy enough for me to consider selling any on a potential retrace yet.

As always the Share has its 2 options and indeed the odds are probably a bit in the favour of a fall today but if it did, that would look positive to me as I would interpret that as the market rushing to make room for further gains.

But it could also reasonably put on another 10p or so from here, so as I say I won't be remotely tempted to trade around this current high.

really Hurst and all joking aside, it would seem logical that as the news has been out a month, the big buyers (who ever they are in the US) would have bought much earlier. The SP rising is more likely, I think, attracting PI's who are buying on the back of a rising trend.

There has been no new news since the last RNS so the "big" money would have committed before now surely? They could have got in 20-30% below the current price so why today now and esp tomorrow morning and no doubt again tomorrow afternoon and then again on Thursday morning and more still in the afternoon.....

Through understanding what was happening to over the LFT period( and lets be fair, that was all consuming on this BB so its not nothing) my dot-joining was better than almost all here. I don't think it was corruption that stopped LFT's selling. There was a problem with TT (remember that? the company we started to use and then just did not mention for about forever, then over to the delays with Abingdon. Think maybe that was a problem?) Or the cost perhaps? which I said at the time was critical when some here said they would pay £5-£10 per test, and I disagreed and then the EU were paying 1 euro a pop. And all this time AS is saying we would sell all we could make, inking deals etc etc). Who was it who said here that we would have HUGE income from Bams and Elisa Sales? MM, I think and obviously others. How did that work out? (Thats another time when AS went very quiet for months on end before acknowledging they turned out to be commercial duds. (I too like MM's posts but also remember him saying how fantastic the LFT market was and how AVCT were poised and posted numerous times to that effect and what the SP's potential was etc. In other words his research and opinion did not predict the outcome.)
The reason everyone likes the MM posts is because they chime with what the reader wants to hear. If it was a highlighting all the risks and misleading statements that occurred then it would be the subject of abuse and it would be removed as disruptive. It should always be borne in mind that he owns millions of AVCT shares and all should always be wary that he might have ulterior motives for always painting the best outcomes. (For instance if TW is shorting the stock and then says negative things about AVCT then a lot here go ballistic, but when its the other way around you think its great. Just realise that these are 2 sides of the same coin and think for yourself.)

Well, that's as nonsensical as your view just immediately put people you agree with in one club and the people you don't with a prejorative term, in another.

Research can obviously be helpful but it is clearly over rated in these type of situations. It leads to a false confidence.

unlikely as the DT has only just been breeched. The thing about trading is to maximise the gain and therefore you would not sell unless the stop was triggered (160p) or the expected target price of 181p plus was hit.

Google the term "therapeutically significant" and see what it says. I could not fine anything to tie it down. So it works from a bit to a lot, but I don't know yet where it is.

So I am not actually the one making the assumptions.

So yes it works but that phrase does not shine a clear light of to the efficacy that some here are assuming.

We currently do not have a gauge on how good this is yet. And AS has not got an unblemished record for straight talking.

So lets just wait and see first rather than constantly and never endingly shut down every single view that does not concur with these mega rampers. (You would think they were paid to try and keep the price up, the way they go on and while I don't think that is likely, it is ironic that they protest the most at any one they feel may hurt the SP but feel no shame or self awareness in ramping it up.

As I say there is nothing wrong and everything to commend a bit of healthy skepticism in this field.

I don't know what morals you are referring to, by the way that I am so hypocritical about.

All I am doing this morning is expressing my views on what others are posting.

I am quite capable of trading the SP of the company and at the same time looking at the business itself. The two are different and if you still can't see that then I can't help. (A very brief example. EVE the mattress maker went bust last year, something I had thought the most likely out come for maybe 12-18 months previously. However it did not stop me trading profitably two separate 40% daily spikes in the SP)

My view (AVCT) which hasn't changed is that a buy out will come this year (i don't know obviously, but that is what I think is most likely.)

Some people have posted there is a moral case to AVCT letting a large company with more resource get this to market sooner than avct. My post was simply to ask the question, is that necessarilly true?

My post was about ava6k which I could not see how another co. would materially shortcut the route to market at this stage. AVA6k would be a huge help to many thousands and therefore it is hardly a small thing.

As for the other things that AVCT do and they can only do one thing at a time. I thought that was quite an inaccurate thing to say. They run diagnostics, they have developed TMAC and the others to the stage where they are close to trial so clearly they have developed many applications.

I don't know why simply expressing a view is so contentious here other than some are simply determined to insult me for any or no reason.

I do not profess to be the smartest knife in the block but in the INVESTMENT world healthy scepticism is no bad thing and short not be drowned out by others just because the don't like the POV.

And I would remind you all that the loudest voices here against me personally were just as loud (and personally abusive)when they said I was an idiot for my views on the development of the LFT. They were wrong, so while you may think I am pretty stupid you should also realise there are plenty here much dumber than me.

I get that RR, but the AVA 6k is a huge step, relatively immediately, to helping patients.

I have to say the one area that I have been surprised about is the public lack of news from the companies that give AVCT milestone payments for using and developing their tech. Years have passed and yet it just seems to grind on. (I am perhaps falsely assuming), but the milestone payments seem relatively small, which suggests there is still a lot of testing and researching and developing going on, and these are huge companies.

I just am not sure if we are over egging the speed thing of big Pharma getting involved.

I try and keep up with various links and arguments as to if AVCT should be offered a buy out it will save time to get it to market because AVCt would take a very long time but I can't see why?

AVCT already have the expertise and knowledge so the best that can happen is that big Pharma keep all the staff on but their people will still to be educated etc as to how it works, read and understand the date and get up to speed etc. That might be nothing but it won't be quicker then leaving the man-power in place that is there already. (I am sure it will be a step back to go 2 steps forward time wise.)

So all they bring is money and more man power. But is it a lack of scientists that is holding at this stage, AVCT back?

lets assume we get MTD by the summer which now seems the latest timeframe for this part of the trial to finish. Then we start the second bit. How does big Pharma speed that up. We have all the data and we are recruiting already for it. we will know the doses to now be used and assuming there are no surprises then all the end of the trial will tell us is how good the degree of effectiveness is. (so far I don't see any time advantage for selling).

Whats after that? Charging any company who wants to use it? why do we need big Pharma for that?

By now AVCT can borrow and hire who and as much as they like, The other strings to the bow can be developed in house

I just don't see at this stage now, what big pharma bring to the party to get ava6k to market quicker? (or the buy out will be a lot more than maybe we were expecting because now it won't be timeline/moral case but simply an economic one of a company wanting to secure long term profits?)
