Just a quick one to offer an alternative consideration. I suspect the event was not set up just to preach to the converted but to draw attention to SNG from those quarters in the US where we can make progress. Whilst they may be aware of SNG due to ACTIV2 (or not) or maybe in part only (given their UK 'minnow' status) it would seem a reasonable strategy to ensure that those in the US requiring some convincing of SNG's efficacy should hear it, not through the (arguably biased) words of its CSO, but through the words of the two highly respected (US) industry individuals that sat on the panel, who would be able to best choose their words to perhaps appeal to the US market actors. Not defending PM (should some thing he needs defending) but the strategy adopted.
Thanks Gunto.
He would certainly seem to be a big player in the US, given his most recent BARDA and Rockefeller profiles alone . His below quoted assertion of many offers (if true) makes his inclusion with SNG's event next week all the more interesting, may well bring in many more interested parties and open up SNG to an even wider audience.
"Q: What’s next for Rick Bright?
A: I will continue working in pandemic preparedness response. I plan to advise organizations that are working on their strategic plans, working on their budget requests, doing what they need to do to get the funding necessary to implement. My next big act, I don’t know exactly what it will be. I have a lot of opportunities—my phone is ringing off the hook and emails are filling up. But I’m going to take some time. I am disheartened seeing the tidal waves going back out to sea at this point, the funding going back out."
Episode 2 of the SNG Podcast is out ... why not get a cup of tea, relax and and have a listen.

The P - I also looked on Twitter yesterday ref this and only found this from @sciam, using SNG's graphic ..

However, @Synairgen did re-post their lungs matter link yet again yesterday
Whilst we all get sucked into our own and others speculation and second-guessing the BoD to fill the void, it's great to be reminded of the quotes from the horse's mouth ...
... so thanks again Wigs (& Doc83) for attending and getting that 'audience' and a clear 'feel' that goes beyond just the words. Always good to get a recalibration to keep us (hopefully) on the right track.
Hopefully there will be some more reporting on this by involved partners. @cantreatcovid seems to be very new to twitter so maybe more to learn as they post and follow others, etc.

When first reading the news about Universal and the interesting collaboration with Janssen (and its BP connection) it seemed minimised by the non-treatment issue, but altogether just a bit strange nevertheless. Given all that is being slowly uncovered relative to recruiting (and the somewhat covert nature of it) is it not likely that we are only so far seeing the tip of an SNG-involvement iceberg. Basically something much bigger, currently in separate (stepping-stone) parts/stages yet to be joined up into an SNG roadmap towards 'earliest possible commercialisation' ?
These job adverts appearing to go through two separate Job boards (poss to help disguise source?) may further align with mani's strange reply to what would seem non-contentious info. Something brewing that has caused the need for some secrecy ?? Lets hope so.
The photo did intrigue me as it would seem fairly certain the photographer did not purposely leave out Dr Mark's ID card surname, and we were just unlucky, although I did think (?) it started with 'M'. It is also possible his surname is Mark and had 'MD' after it without a christian name. It also seemed it would be a short surname given the positioning on the ID card itself. Like others I had no joy googling various permutations. Would certainly be interesting to find out.

Slide with graphs showing various LC symptoms (incl. mental health factors) seem to summarise well the potential broad spectrum effect and benefits and hopefully got the attention of the BP audience.
I would respectfully suggest that given the passage of time, and the number of sensible and reasoned responders who have replied to certain individuals over this considerable period, that these 'certain individuals' are not just misguided or unsure, they are simply seeking to bait others and, unfortunately, they are getting their way. Solution - use the filter provided and save those who have used this service from having to see the responses that are clearly not having their intended result. Silence also works wonders.
"Researchers from the Our Future Health programme are calling on 5m UK adults to join what is hoped to be one of the biggest studies in the world. Part-funded by the government, industry and charities, the programme is looking to create the most detailed picture of a nation’s health ever. It aims to find more efficient ways of preventing, spotting and treating illnesses such as cancer and dementia early on." (25.10.22)

If only a fraction of the 'called up' 5m were to get Covid/other Resp. illness and could be dosed with SNG, could that be a ready made PT group right there?
