All hopes were pinned on a date long past, so every day after that is considered a 'day late'. Fair to say (IMHO) that SNG are well aware that this is possibly the last roll of the dice (for them ... not necessarily for the product) and so want to get it right for personal as well as professional reasons. Failure to deliver will simply rate much higher on the scale than concern over investor timescale frustration, and rightly so ... not that this sits easy when we have hope, dreams, investments and retiral plans pushed further into the unlit tunnel. If you are young (even young-ish) and still working you're luckier than some others with whom you share this particular 'boat'. Selling-up is simply not an option for me as the result finances nothing of any real value in comparison. In truth I've had to take it out of all financial calculations and get on with things. I have no doubt at all of SNG's efficacy and value, only of when it's 'time' will arrive, and I'm able to do something of real 'value' with the proceeds and enjoy the satisfaction of the tiny part played in bringing it to the masses. Pardon the indulgence of my pontification, but if you live with the disappointment of others as to the situation you will no doubt understand the need to air somewhere, if not out loud. Enjoy life in the meantime and the time will, eventually, arrive better late than never.

Let's hope that Dr Flic Gabbay's presence at the top of the commentator's list is a sign we at least have good people connected in to where it matters. Problem is many are critical of UK punching below its (potential) weight in this sector.
adding my thanks for those posting updates, as my tardy arrival, due to flight delay, meant i missed most of it. however, as a lth i did feel the need to see 'the whites of their eyes' and how to they responded individually and as a team to unrehe****d q 's - as compared to pr videos. others more knowledgeable attendees have/will dissect their full responses but fwiw i was more impressed with their post agm (coffee & chat) friendly engagement and easy manner away from their defensive positions behind the top table. maybe a suggested format for next year ? so i can only add that, yes ... they are human.
Hope it's not a bad omen, and only my bad luck ... up at 03.30, and just been told at the gate that if the weather at LCY does not delay arrival till after 10.00, then the fact that BA has overbooked seats by 5% means that, despite booking my flight weeks ago, I don't have a seat ... unless someone fails to trap once the flight is fully boarded !
"The agreement would rescind about $30 billion in unspent coronavirus relief money that Congress approved through previous bills, with exceptions made for programs including the $5 billion for a program to develop the next generation of COVID-19 vaccines and treatments.

Very interesting as always Spacman, just wish I understood what it all really meant . We've had (and occasionally still have) various clever people on here over the last 3+ yrs, however, I don't recall anyone coming from quite the same angle ref your comments on here, which is intriguing. I suspect even if you added your 'working out' along with your comprehensive 'exam answer' it would still be beyond me. Anyway, always happy to read something a bit different that shines as light on the complex nature of this business. The only question for me is, will you be at the AGM?
So many people have stopped posting at all, and I presume many are just not reading either. this is a chance to turn this board around. Too many people have ignored the advice not to engage with the known trouble-makers, that is why this has degenerated to the current point. It started more than a year ago but has got worse. Can we save it ? Filter and ignore would be a start.
I remind myself these guys are world-renowned, professional, devoted clinicians and scientists who stayed the course for decades, and not businessmen (i.e. gangsters) jumping from one deal/company to the next.
Reading between the lines (... we have to) they seem to have spent time gathering up every shred of evidence/data they have to date, kept close ties with a wide spread of industry to identify what's still required, defined a very focussed plan to achieve what they need to get SNG over the regulatory line, and the fastest most efficient way to do that.
They have either chosen (eg rejected offers) of have no other option at this stage but to go it alone, but in any case, by keeping hold of more cash than people expected, they have devised a plan starting in H2 (which at least starts in weeks) to gather in what they need by addressing 3 areas of business they already have experience in to secure what is missing to achieve early FDA approval, invite to a (free) P3, JV offer or T/O.
We know they are not far away given the data and wide support acquired so far ... they are one of a kind with no other immediate rival on pace to fill the massive void for a broad spectrum, host-directed, variant agnostic anti-viral for a wide range of potentially-fatal conditions that affect the whole world ... so, given they have sought counsel, its surely good news they have decided to keep hold of the reins, stay the course (with money to spend) and ultimately maximise their value first, before JV dilution or T/O offers are to be made.
This is a reminder that, despite all the other noise, SNG is the only candidate with strong data that in on the cusp of filling this huge gap in respiratory disease - where there are so many global killers out there - and they have a strong plan to focus and direct their own resources towards proving that once and for all to gain regulatory approval asap.
"The search for a broad-spectrum antiviral treatment can be traced back several decades, with a growing recognition of the need for a treatment that can effectively target a wide range of different viral infections.
In recent years, there has been increased recognition in the importance of developing broad-spectrum antivirals that target the host cell rather than the virus itself. However, despite this growing interest, there is currently no precedent for a broad-spectrum antiviral clinical development programme.
Many of the platform trials that emerged during the COVID-19 pandemic have completed or wound down in part due to lower rates of severe illness or changes in funding. Synairgen has been and remains in contact with the relevant platform trial investigators and will continue to evaluate options should they arise; however, in parallel, wanting to move forward at pace, we believe that implementing our own current clinical development plan as quickly as possible will provide promising opportunities to collect appropriate and meaningful data to support an eventual regulatory submission. "
This is a reminder for me that, despite all the other noise, SNG is the only candidate with strong data that in on the cusp of filling this huge gap in respiratory disease - where there are so many global killers out there - and they have a strong, focused plan to direct their own resources towards proving that once and for all to gain regulatory approval and, particularly, at speed. The mention several times of their collaborative approach with other industry actors means they are clearly not alone in their view of the fastest way forward and in developing their plan ahead. Others are watching.
Faith in some measure is (obviously) apparent in all (LTH) investors, however drilling down into II's & PI's would suggest that it is timescale where we differ (with the possible exception of the younger PI's). The BP industry, SNG & TFG all do this for a living, I suspect most of us do it to enhance our 'living'. We are therefore, in relative terms, impatient by design, and there's the rub. It will happen, but when?
