Anyway, let's hope for a positive update this week, RNS or not. With a number of "things" due or expected by end Q2 or end H1, I think we deserve to be told why these have not been delivered in time. We're continually told how hard everyone is working behind the scenes, so with 4 weeks gone since last snippet of info, surely something somewhere has moved forward?

Well that's 10mins of my life wasted. Came on here this morning hoping to read some discussion of QED projects. All I've read is 2 (or 3) children continuing to have their playground squabble. Pathetic!

With the amount of big sells going through it looks like we're close to the end here. I'm just surprised the SP isn't around 0.01 by now, which is giving me my only crumb of comfort?

Agreed Barking. Nice to see the SP holding up rather than it's normal drift back down in the weeks following a positive RNS. Is it a sign of sellers being thin on the ground?

Be nice to get further progress reported and a jump on SP from the long-awaited "December" agreement. Maybe then I can sell out some of my holding for my own enjoyment, leaving the remainder invested long-term for the family.

Looking more at the potential OCP deal where a substantial conversion of their operations to MSAR could take place. JM stated the kilns at their Al Jofra site would burn fuel at a rate equivalent to a container ship, i.e. approx. 10 tons/hour. Given there are 8 kilns, full roll out would equate to 80 tons/hr. I'm sure I have read previously QED could earn around $50/ton (in royalties/profits?). I have no idea how long the kilns run but on a 100/hr/week basis, QED could earn around $400,000/week, just at one site.

Certainly a company changing deal if we get it!

I would have liked to believe the agreement is only the trial too but with the "December" announcement still not forthcoming 6 months down the line, I have my doubts this is the case. Given the clout of these two behemoths, I would have expected the supply of feedstocks for trail quantities and relevant permits to have been in place long before now. What else could be holding things up?

Not wanting to sound negative but given Maersk and KSA experiences, dealing with these huge entities is frustrating to say the least!

My guess? We have two (privately owned) juggernauts in Cargill and MSC, with very opposing views on who should get the maximum share of benefits from the $trillions of future profits to be made from the eventual roll out of QED products.

I wish they had agreed to hold off discussions further until trials complete and at least get the trials done but it looks to me like they both want the future bulk supply agreements in place before signing up to the trials. Who knows, both their corporate greed and independent stubbornness could mean it doesn't happen at all and screw the environment.

Sincerely hope I'm wrong but if not, at least we now have Morocco, Utah and other projects to potentially fall back on. If we can at least get the fuels up and running for Morocco (via Cespa), perhaps we could get a smaller shipper involved to do a marine trial, (maybe Cargill alone?).

Yes, if only Maersk had pushed ahead with the MSAR trial and then rolled it out across their fleet, who knows how much of global shipping would be running on MSAR now? One thing for sure, us LTSHs with decent exposure would all be multi-millionaires by now. I guess we'll just have to wait a while longer. In the meantime, as far as I'm concerned, many of the global shipping issues can be laid at Maersk's feet!

Slow start to this morning and sadly no RNS :-( Still, at least what minimal trading is taking place, seems to be continuing the upward pressure on the SP. Hopefully this continues as more people wake up to the potential here. Let's also hope there is significant news in the next 2 weeks to end the half year on a real high.

I think the best solution for the DOGM would be to grant HSO/Trio the unitisation permission and allow them to proceed. Also, tell Hoodoo, (if they object) that it's up to them to prove their case at their own expense, which if unsuccessful, would also result in costs and damages to be paid to all affected parties.

That would probably be enough to scare them off, especially if HSO/Trio are moving ahead unhindered?

I haven't given up on Tomco yet either, but only because of what Crownos said, the stock is virtually worthless now. The "close to securing finance" rhetoric has been going on for years. They have now also lost John Potter who allegedly was the driving (force?) behind the company.

I'd be happy to get out of Tomco with a 50% haircut and redeploy the funds here. Unfortunately, I'm nearer a 90% haircut!

Let's hope so and pray they have customers lined up! It would certainly be a tragic waste of the (low sulphur) qualities of the oil to just sell it quickly and cheaply to tar roads.

I think Steve Byle is too aware of the premium value of this bitumen when converted to MSAR, so hopefully our services will be needed in the near-term?

Tomco have no chance of raising the capital (>$120m) they have been trying to raise for years. They can't even raise the £18m or so they needed to buy the remaining 90% of TSH11 land they want.

Their best hope is that Valkor, (who loaned them the funds for the 10% of TSH11 they have), can prove the profitability of their well based approach. Tomco could then look to do similar, or lease the land for someone else to access the deeper lying oil reserves, providing Tomco with capital to get their own projects started. Valkor's potential success in Utah could see an influx of investment into the area but little old Tomco need to forget their 2x 5,000bpd Cort plants pipedream and look to something more achievable.

Even just 100 wells producing a (lower figure) 40bpd = 4000/day. A conservative price for this premium oil/MSAR @ $100/b, with QED share say $20/b we're looking at a conservative figure of $80,000/day for QED.

As has been said previously, just one of these numerous projects coming to fruition would hugely de-risk the company and the SP should be many times what it is now!
