You are assuming that xxx million people would be prepared to pay for something that they have never had to pay for before? Also from a BBC perspective, people would be prepared to pay over and above what they are currently paying via the TV licence?

I totally agree.. content is king, but it's all about quality over quantity; Most of the stuff on Netflix is rubbish, they dine out on a handful of big shows but the most viewed show on Netflix last year was Friends. How much of that content listed would you pay for?

Hi, this is my first post. Always interesting to see other peoples view on these shares; I don't have loads so not massively in the red with them! Are you proposing Apple might buy ITV? A nice thought but it wouldn't happen purely as ITV are not a global platform. The word on the street is Apple / Google will be buying Netflix.
What does everyone think about BRITBOX? my initial thoughts are not positive. Their target audience are mainly free to air viewers who aren't prepared to pay for any type of SVOD service, anyway always interesting to hear others views
