The motley fool, who, in the past few months, has been prattling on about what a good thing UKOG is, suddenly seems to have had a bit of a change of heart?? Or is it he likes the sound of his own voice, and feels he has to inform us of his every thought, whim, and doubt about this share! which to be honest is a bit of a bore. And unless he actually KNOWS more than us, it might be a good idea to keep his thoughts and musings to himself, and give us all a break. On the other hand......maybe SS is the biggest shyster on the planet and leading us all up the garden path???!!!
bunco
At the time, it appeared to be moving up nicely. so I thought to get in quick, thinking it may well carry on......but hey ho! not for long. I was, I admit a bit too clever for my own good this time!
thanks for all replies.
Having been in PHD for only a few months, I am a bit surprised at the amount of optimism shown by many, to it's actual movement North! Since I bought in, it has only ever moved down.....to the low 30's! and seems perfectly happy there. Also I am confused at why pi's would think this will, or at least, could, reach the 50s'-70's almost overnight? Surely this is wildly over confident isn't it? or am I missing something here?? It's my experience that share prices can, and do, move down quickly enough, but very rarely move up at the same speed, unless an excellent RNS appears, but then you have to be lizard tongue quick to benefit by the rise, because it can drop to the original price just as quickly, even within a couple of hours! as I'm sure we've all experienced.
I do not agree with the 'ramp/deramp' attitude some have, so this is neither, I hope!, and I am happy to sit on these for a while, just an honest observation, why so much aggressive optimism for this share???. If I am wrong, and missing something, please explain.
I doubt that he will be able to do nothing to help QFI! He may however be able to trouser his share of the reserves, he's not related to one of the board is he!!
It appears to me that these people have actually sold very little over the last six months, a couple of mediocre sales doesn't really cut it for me. All this beavering away in the background 'getting things 'ship-shape' and 'in order' is pretty low key on my list. What I would like is for them to tell me about all the big orders they are getting, and not so much about how they are gearing up for them. The 'cake tomorrow' promises have never been worth spit! in my opinion. So, lets have some proper news, something with a bit meat to it....it would make a nice change.
Shows you the trouble you can get into by misreading a simple two letter word!!......e.g. 'of 100K' instead of, 'of100K'. It was in fact, a genuine question/mistake, but, I should, as suggested, '.....up my level' otherwise it could eventually cost me, no offence meant. Cheers.
??? possible??? if so, about time..........years of fuzzy thinking, procrastination, eggs in basket, and uncertainty!
It's only a couple of weeks ago we were warned***by the management themselves***, that it was s or bust time for QFI over the next 12 months, now all of a sudden, the sentiment appears to be a deal is imminent, and QFI will be on it's way! Well I do hope so, because this company has a very good chance for sliding into obscurity pretty quickly, which in my opinion would be more than terrible for the many who bought in 11/2-2 years ago, who like me thought it was a virtual 'no brainer' and for one reason or another, are still here, hoping against hope that things will turn around for QFI
I honestly, really hope they do, we are, all of us, here to make money, and why not? GLA.
The Gordon Bowden interview, supplied by mrcautious, post 3305..............made me feel sick, I am certainly not naive, and have considered our politicians, MP's, and leaders of the country (not all, but most) as below contempt, on many, many occasions. But, it's not often, if ever, that you hear that somebody, has taken the time and effort to name, and shame well know Members of Parliament, corporate bosses, CEO's and persons in power who are elected, by us, to look after us, and see that we have a fair crack!
From what I heard, it's not the poor that are acting in this disgusting manner, but the wealthy, the very wealthy, and the disgustingly wealthy...........theres nothing wrong with having a few quid, (or else why are we here) but, for God's sake......how much is enough!! And how many have to die by murder, families broken, people lives ruined, before our ELECTED politicians are brought to ANY kind of justice. No wonder there's so many poor people in this country, willing to bend the rules, just so they can feed their kids, and when they get caught...............WHAM............WHAM,,,,,,,,,,WHAM........ busted, castigated, and shamed, and jailed, or at best fined heavily (what a great idea that is) for a few miserly quid!!
I make no apologies for this post, off topic I know, but I can't help it!!!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the those members who helped me understand what is going on with this share. It's a bit disconcerting to find your share, and money, have disappeared, in one go. It appears to be a bit of a waiting game now, to see what happens in the near future. Once again, thanks a lot for your understanding, knowledge, and your time.
A couple of months ago, I had a few quid invested in FRR, (not enough to write home about!) but now I can't see it on the ii invester board anywhere. As I am a novice at this investing game, I just wonder as to what's happened to it, or the company?, I'd be obliged if anybody could fill me in as to what might have happened to this share, or my cash?? Cheers.
Having been involved with QFI/MSAR from 2012/2016 I felt it better to pull out, and wait for a an upturn in their fortunes. This hasn't happened, and it may, (or so we are led to believe) never happen! And to be honest, I was never much of a fan of the new BoD headed by Tricky. But, having listened to his latest offering, from Proactive Investors I may well see some hope for MSAR, in the near future. Chiefly their change from 'starting at the top' Maersk, to looking for more openings with smaller fish, plus the method of production and telling, which should produce much more money in the kitty, if it is handled properly.
As was always thought, once one takes a bite, many more will follow. You might say that this is the time to buy in, but after the last list of letdowns, of which there has been at least four, I think I'll wait until they get at least the first reasonable order signed up, before I venture in again.......and then, maybe they can pay me back some of the £20,000 they wonked away initially. GLA & me.
..........'that'll be the day'...........
Why is the biggest land based oil producer in the UK, with only 346m on issue, only 0.04p per share????
The reason I ask is, I don't know! any explanation would be welcome.
Don't hold out much hope for this making me much, at that rate. We have 10x as many shares on issue!!
Thank you for your reply, Fyoz, I agree with you, on the points you raised. I hope, for all our sakes, that QFI come good, the sooner the better, as there are many, many, pi's who have invested a lota, lota money into this company, and as of yet, all it's done it to disappoint......big time. If this does bloom, I will be back in, and try to win back some of the money it took from me, 18 months ago. (Thats why I wrote 'for all our sakes' earlier) This company, even now, could be tremendous, even after the the letdowns it's passed through............as long as the BoD make the right moves, unfortunately, I think they need either help, or luck, and up to now they've had neither. Good Luck to All
After having been involved with Quadrise/MSAR, in the past, I know as much as anybody on here, about it's potential, and past problems. Theres is now a lot of pi interest in scrubbers, in fact, because of the lack of movement, and news with MSAR, there is arguably too much. The point is, scrubbers are not exactly new, they have been around for years, and many shipping companies use them on a daily basis already. So, why hasn't anybody hooked up with QFI/MSAR already?.............just a thought..............but, a disturbing one, none the less,.........at least for me. This is not a de-ramp, it's just a simple query, and I wish QFI/MSAR all the luck in the future.
Hi iPedro, Fair do's mate, I can understand your reticence about saying too much, I have in the past tried to introduce good news on a share, only to have it blow up in my face. The thing is, you have, in the past tried to further this share, at some cost to yourself, for the benefit of all of us. You need to be aware that I, and others appreciate your efforts, in this regard, also other the pi's, and SYM itself. If there were more like you, we may all have a more interesting read on this thread. Cheers.
Cheers iPedro, Thanks again for having a go. A bit confused though, when you state you've 'just brought on board' the companies you mentioned, do you mean you've contacted them through the e-mail route, or written... Royal Mail? I would be very interested in what they have had to say, presupposing they have indeed answered. If you feel you could let me/us know more, I'm sure I/we would really appreciate it. Thanks again.
