Right - thanks Dougal. Just Googled Nomad Cairns and now understand them to be advisors from AIM who make sure FRR only say what they are allowed to say in meetings etc. Is that about right?

As someone who has been a SH for several months now, I know who Zaza and SN are but have never got my head around who the Nomad is and what his role is. Any clues?

As the chair Alan Little says, the fact that the BBC were allowed to broadcast from Zimbabwe in the first place says a lot.

Not sure if this has been posted, but this was in the Zimbabwe press yesterday. It highlights the policies of both parties re foreign investors and mining, and assesses their likelihood of winning.

The good news for VAST shareholders is that both potential winners have broadly the same desire to increase foreign investment.

Your link led me to a fascinating download on choke size and factors that determine its size (flow rates, pressure drop either side of the choke, temperature loss and choke type to name the probably most important factors). I'm learning more about oil every day! (perhaps I should have used my Physics and Chemistry more once I'd done my A Levels).
I still think it was a good RNS, although I totally understand why the day-traders have jumped ship. I said this morning that I thought that once it had settled, the share price would start to rise, perhaps up to about 0.6, and maybe over a fairly short period of time. Someone else this morning commented that for the market, "revenue is king" and I think that is true.

I agree that the oil is good. For all those who wanted a multibag, this will be a disappointment, but what it does do is confirm a strong future for the company and after a short period of turmoil in the sp (which could go up or down, anyone’s guess!), I think the sp will climb steadily to reflect the good news on oil. 0.6 maybe ...

Possibly, or perhaps stating the problems of getting to the gas will help re arbitration with the Georgian government. It will be interesting what Mole makes of the RNS.

Sorry cannyscot - I didn't mean to imply that you were trying to mislead. I agree that it is possible that over a long period or at times of high volume an ii or other body could have built up such a holding. It certainly can't be happening at the moment, as the sp hasn't really moved anywhere but down since I became invested! So now you know, I'm the reason the sp has tanked. It just sums up my share-buying record thus far.....

This is in some ways the thing that concerns me most. I'm desperate for FRR to succeed as I have over 20 million shares tied up in it, but surely any potentially interested party would quickly build a just under 5% stake in it to take advantage of the ridiculously low sp. And this would surely lead to an ever increasing share price. The only way for the sp to not go up would be for traders/private investors to simultaneously be all selling at the same time....is this really plausible?

Nice if it was - I make 70000 bopd about 3.5 million pounds per day. Might be my dodgy maths letting me down though...

Wouldn’t that be nice - a Monday morning RNS stating that FRR shares were being suspended with immediate effect, as Exxon had made bid for the company.

On the advice of LTHs I have filtered lulu, vinny and mapp. I only now see reference to them via other people’s replies, which can be quite amusing...

Just re-read my post and agree that I should have said private investors rather than long term holders. The LTHs have been through a lot more of this than me over the years and will understand things a lot better than me. Not sure what anyone thinks about whether people thinks it matters to Trump that FRR is AIM listed in the UK and not the US. If it really is Exon then I don’t suppose it matters!

I suspect you’re right Noloss. As for me I will be sitting tight. I’d be happier if I had a big paper profit already (my average is 0.4) but it seems unlikely that we’d lose everything even if things went pear-shaped. And I agree with the earlier comment regarding having Trump in our corner. One question would be however whether it matters that FRR is based n the US but it’s investors are based on the UK...

Interesting yes, potentially a reason to flee, but given that it seems to confirm the true size of the assets, a reason for many to take a big punt on FRR. My suspicion is that some LTH will take the 1st option and run first thing Monday morning, whereas a number of big players will decide the size of the potential upside makes it worth the gamble.

Can’t buy VAST on HL at the moment (admittedly on only a small amount as i’m already fully loaded). Is anyone else having the same problem?
